yel I was looking at earlier didnt even notice cafe on the side but this great way bring ing out the building. good job
Very cool has a bit of a Van Gogh feeling to it, has great potential with the final touch ups!
thanks Jeff. Definitely need a session or two more, probably without the camera over my shoulder, lol!
Turner, thank you for sharing your thoughts as you paint with your liberal fearless style. I am fairly new to painting and when I find myself fearfully applying paint afraid of making a ‘mistake’, I say ‘Hey! What would Turner do!’. It has made such a difference for me.
Oh wow, that's great. Timidly placing strokes will always show!
I love this whether or not you didn't have your black mix.
thank you, definitely made it work with out the black
So, what happened to this picure? The video came to an end before you finished it. Did you you finish it..? Would be great to see the final painting! Best wishes..David in the UK.
I did do another session on this one, but still not happy with it. Needs more work
Another great one.
Thanks, Rocky
Well i don't like to criticize but at night colors are stronger i was expecting olmos a pure colors bright, everyone have they own style but do not call my attention, sorry
no worries, I don't take it as a criticism at all. Just trying to paint what I see.
great nocturne Turner.. the video shows the light to be more orange than what you painted.
Thanks! I’m sure I didn’t paint it it the right color, but it’s hard to judge with this video since I was using a daylight balanced light and there were warm lights in the scene. Can make it a little tricky to judge
Enjoyed watching this, first time watching someone paint a nocturne. Maybe someday I'll get brave enough to try it :)
thanks, and just do it!
I did try a nocturnal at home, it is hard on the eyes lol I painted a basket in a small size canvas.
nice!
Great inspiration, thank you for this video!
Curious why you are looking right to see the scene and not to what the viewer is seeing.
Turner you are a exceptional artist! Keep squinting your eyes. Success with your exhibition
😑😑🙏🏻
Fantastic, can't remember seeing anyone do this. you're a brave painter you really put yourself on the line thats why I enjoy watching you work. Good luck with the exibition.

Cool painting! Thankyou so much for doing these videos! I learn a lot and get totally inspired! 🙏 thanks!
My pleasure 😊
This is awesome.
I love your commentary- soothing, informative and thought provoking "artists help people see the beauty around us that we often miss"
This has me looking forward to doing some plein air nightime painting
Wow very nice! so different to your other paintings somehow, i guesse the colours used, Have wondered about night painting and figured it would be near impossible, gonna have to try sometime. Would like to see how you do another sometime or what changes if any you make to this one would be really cool to see. Thanks again,.
Thank you very much!
I was just talking about black paint to the wife.... Then this came on....you gotta have black on the palette!! It's a must!!!
good timing, eh!
👍👍👍
✌️
No good
thanks for letting me know
thanks for letting me know
You should install a hook on the side of your yarka to hang your turps by. Then you won't have to bend over or worry about spilling it on the uneven ground. Just a suggestion ;) I'm way to clumsy to set it on the ground. I also have a small check list with my plein air stuff to help me remember the bare essentials ;)
Lovely painting!
thank you! I've hung my turp from the easel before, but I'm so rough when painting that the turp just sloshes around and spills. Doesn't bother me at all to bend over to get some. Maybe it keeps me active, lol!
@@turnervinson yeah I totally get that. You would have none left if you hung it.
Enhorabuena maestro es la primera vez que veo pintar en directo en plena noche, es un atrevimiento. Un aplauso 👏 muy fuerte
thank you!
Wow! Awesome video and beautiful art!!
Thank you very much!
What a treat this was to watch you navigate a night painting, Turner! You nailed it too. Did you end up finishing it? I bet it sold if you did, because it has such a nice feel to it.
And honestly, there's more depth using a purple or blue/brown for a black than black right out of the tube, I think. If I use black out of the tube, I always try to mix it with a color. Just my opinion! :D Your paintings are beautiful whether you use it from the tube or not. I've found too that spreading the toner paint with a turpenoid dries fast and I can start painting (after wiping the excess off with a paper towel) very quickly.
Thanks, Kay. I did put another session in on this piece and since then it’s found a nice corner in the studio to hang out in, lol. And I completely agree on the use of black. It’s a color to be used with caution and moderation, but would’ve liked having it as an option.
@@turnervinson Oh wow! I can't believe this one hasn't sold yet. When you were working on the yellow glowing light area, it just popped! Your intention in that area was very obvious. When I started painting seriously back in 2012, I used black out of the tube, and then I took a local painting class and was "yelled at" and told not to use it. Haha. I try not to use it BUT combining yellow with a tinge of black creates the most gorgeous olive green color! So, I do use it but try to use it sparingly. Again, this is coming from an artist who doesn't have an art career. LOL Keep doing what you're doing. Your art is beautiful, Turner! Loved by many.
Awsome man!
Thanks!
Its got a Vincent feel to it, Beautiful Turner 🎨👍
thanks, Tez
Yes!! Me too
Now THAT'S dedication!
