Wish the British Royal Family had Royal christenings televised like this. This was as real as you can get! Absolutely love the authenticity! Can't get enough of the Swedish Royal Family, they seem very down to earth indeed. Very insightful and enjoyable to watch.
One thing about it, the guest of honor is absolutely gorgeous and behaved like a little angel! She is the prettiest of all the Swedish Royal babies in my opinion, and they have all been adorable.

How lucky Victoria is ! Prince Daniel seems to be a great hands-on dad, it's nice to see such a supportive royal husband. Very rare indeed.

It's Prince Alexander, the first Child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Yes, he's really cute, but that are all the swedish royal Kids too. But Estelle is my Favourite. I've never seen such a happy, well-behaved Child, she's so lovely and became so pretty!
Ha, I watched the Christening of the Prins Philipe and once again, I have to say that these Scandinavians really do sing English choral music very beautifully!
Beautiful Service choice of two young duo singing; lovely . Impossible to have more exquisite traditions . Eleanor is a law unto herself. Very patient parents . !
I love it when they speak English! It's nice to be able to understand. All the kids are so adorable too! I can see why they get antsy, I would too if I was their age.

Prince Alexander is so well behaved. All of the kids looked adorable. I wish Princess Estelle was there too.
Given how much time Alexander spent walking around and back and forth to his grandmother, am not sure what you mean by well behaved.

Oh the intro was beautiful!👏😀 Well this unique, authentic, self-determined couple will have to face discussions ...about options regarding their future family plans, permanent domicile arrangements, the education of their three children, royal responsibilities plus long-term priorities etc. Even as a foreign observer I see some of the criticism and national upswept towards them. Of course, as a family they are undeniably precious: Distinctly graceful mother, dashing father, lovely children (...very resolute, especially Leonore! We'll see how that personality turns out). Let's hope that image will help them win the people's lasting sympathy and appreciation, because they obviously aren't getting it by fulfilling a lot of public duties in Sweden. 🤔 Personally of course, I wish the five of them nothing but the best and congratulate the couple on little Adrienne - She's a doll! 😍 Love from Germany! 🖖🏼🧡

Lenore is always wild. Madeline needs to take lessons in parenting from Victoria.
Leonore is not a toddler but four years old. She needs a bit of discipline, not for her parents to just laugh at everything she does.
I cant wait for leonore to grow up. She reminds me of my childhood. Dude shez gotta feel a lot more embarrassed when she grows up. But i rotally love her she is such an exciting kid i kinda missed her at Gabriel's christening

Sad to see the negative comments about Leonore. Poor thing is only a child, of course they wont always be on their best behaviour all the time. Im sure the parents is doing something to make her behave better. However, every parents is different, maybe they dont do it the way you do, and there's nothing wrong with that
This people maybe haven't watched Princess Arianne of the Netherlands' christening, that was a show because of all the children :P but I just ignore the comments and delete them. We don't need that kind of negativity!
This service is much too long for young children to endure. It should be shortened. Adorable children being children.

Yes she is just a child... so is her brother Nikolas, so are Prince Oscar and Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel... all attentive or at least quiet! Neither hard nor oppressive obviously, it just needs to be communicated! 🤷🏻♀️ ...Needless to mention, they are all younger than Leonore and hardly grasping what's going (and boys... often said to be the "wilder" sex, in stereotypical thinking!). I say they are a reflection of the wormth and orientation their parents provide so they understand to remain quiet. Meanwhile, Princess Leonore's disquiet is neither cute, nor free-spirited, nor do we have to express understanding for absolutely every infantile action instead of undertaking the effort to convey some respectfullness early on. Yeah sure, now it's still cute! The point is, she won't develop those attributes _automatically_ as she grows up, I'd argue! Of course she will get more mature, yet there won't be a point at which, all the sudden, the girl realizes how such ignorant behavior destroys the mood, how much it annoys everyone including fellow children (e.g. I was just sorry how disturbed Adrienne was getting by her sister's continuous restlessness!). Frankly, I really think we need to distinguish between letting a child be a child and assisting her to find a way, to grow some patience and steadiness inside and out. ...especially a little royal, who'll have to sit through numerous more occasions like this. I agree by the way, the service was too long for children of that age, and I'm sure it would have been totally fine to bring a little book or something, just like the Queen did for Alexander. Anyhow, in the end, her parents vividly aren't doing the girl a favor by not showing her how to sit through it at all, effectively by setting a few boundaries. 🙄 Two-year-old Alexander is a precious, bright boy and nobody minded him walking around every now and then, but he equally gets when to listen. In fact he seemed to have enjoyed following certain parts of the ceremony (...that look into the font😍🙊). And Princess Estelle (wherever she was that day 🤔) is the brightest, friendliest, most free-spirited mini-royal I know and she's never been nearly as unattentive as her cousin! ☝🏻 Just don't mix up restraints and guidance!

I think that Eleanor's Father should've done something. The kid is there rolling on the carpet and he just sat there, poor Princess Madeleine, she really feels everybody's eyes on her.
If you can not see Eleanor has 'Hyper Activity Disorder' you have no knowledge on certain subjects ' restrain from silly comments.' The last thing one does in this situation is to Force . T.hey get worse . In fact until she has had therapy . Public ceremonies Not for Her If only for her parents, less stress.

Yes excuse me .I must admit I was annoyed by the non obedience Leonor of but it is a habit with H.A.D. Ignoring them is correct . Or a tantrum follows. I had to deal with a friends child. The therapist advised what I have said. The child in question only became tolerable in company after puberty.
Amparo Blancas I've read Madeleine was also hyper as a kid. Leonore will grow out of it. Madeleine certainly did.
Hi, LOWE sonia, I want to apologize for my comment, Ignoring that the girl is HAD, It comes across as a naughty little girl and I thought her parents were using modern discipline on her, or just Ignoring her behavior, if you see later on when the ceremony is finished the parents just walk ahead and take pictures but no participate with Eleanor. I was sad she was missing out in the family pictures too I also thought that a bit of a cuddle would make her better. Thank you for your insight. Now I know that is best to ignore a hipper active little one. 🙂👌

Wow, you people are horrible. You think a child should be able to sit through a long service like this and not have to do something to distract themselves? I’d be crawling the walls myself and glad I can watch this in small stints. If she laid on the floor kicking and screaming and throwing a tantrum I’d say she needs something, but not reprimand. She needs to have something to occupy her little free-thinking mind. If she is desperately trying to find something to do, that is the fault of her parents and this service. No baptism needs to take 1 1/2 hours. Children are not expected to make adult decisions like sitting down in a church service and not moving for 90 minutes. Adults are going stir-crazy at that point. Stop being ridiculous.

I wish they would get Leonore under control. This is such a formal occasion and that kid is sitting barefoot on the floor in the middle of it all, then doing her usual wandering around. She is not too young to be expected to sit down. Look at Oscar, sitting quietly on Princess Victoria's lap. She disrupted Oscar's baptism on the last occasion. The parents should bring a nanny along to sit with her and her brother while the parents are occupied.

Leonore isn’t causing a single problem and she is not “out-of-control”. If you think she is, you’ve never seen a child truly “out-of-control”. Shame on you for still thinking in those old ways, that children are to be seen and not heard (or in your case, either) or that they need to have the patience of an adult. Shame on you for thinking that anything she has done is worthy of reprimand from her parents. Did you run a military school or something along those lines? If not, it sounds like your calling. Maybe check for job listings....sounds like you’d be marvellous at stifling children’s’ fun and freedom and treating them like 2nd class citizens.

You best believe my husband and I would not allow one of our kids to roll on the floor barefoot up at the altar of a church at a baptism, or any such formal occasion as this. And this event involved the Swedish Royal Family on a national broadcast. You must be a very lax parent if you think Leonore's behavior was acceptable. You probably have friends that wish you would control your brat, too.
coashddjj2 Having a sister who was special needs, she too would go without shoes, twist and twirl and explore in the church or any other place! Not saying that the princess is special needs, just an observation.

Don't worry Sweden's royal family represents the country fabulously. Children can be unpredictable sometimes and shouldn't be expected to behave like adults.

My child is like Leonore. No matter what I said,did, cajoled, threatened, etc It did notwork. Each child has unique personalities. Lenore did not ruin the day for God's sake, many children cannot handle sitting for long periods of time. According to some here, I guess my son is spoiled rotten asshole. Lighten up. And if you take the time to find pics of Harry and William's christenings, they too were very wiggly. They are KIDS.

Ceremony was way too long to expect small children to sit and be perfect. Mom was holding infant and unable to divert the children. Dad was busy with middle child. All in all, because of the length of service, unfamiliar songs to the children and adult theme, what can one expect?
Victoria's children are always well behaved.

On the contrary Mrs O'Neal is a Patron of the 'Bayreuth Festival" Last year she invited the King and Queen on a private visit, as her guest's to listen to "Parsifal', i think it was . She speaks in German with Sylvia.
