Can definitely confirm the strong personality 😂 my Shiba Inu is a year old now but she is by far the most stubborn thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life. She will challenge the boundaries I’ve set for her constantly to see what she can/can’t get away with. Extremely smart, learns things very quickly, but like a cat will only do things when she sometimes feels like it. Watching your videos I thought I could be better prepared but boy was I wrong 😂. Some days I love her the most, and others days she drives me insane 🤣. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world though in the end. I think my Shiba is broken too, she really likes to cuddle when she is tired. Jimmy looks like a good boy! Love seeing his growth through the years 🥹
I plan to get one soon. I'm glad to have these videos, as I've never owned a pet of this magnitude. I'll definitely use this channel for future reference when raising them, so thank you.
I’m rescuing a Shiba Inu Mix tomorrow. He is a year old and has aggression to kids and dogs. My fur baby and I have some work to do. We will slowly transform him into a service dog for me.
Welcome back, good to see Jimmy doing well. Our Yone (Wooly Shiba) is 2 years now and i watched your early videos before getting him in our lifes. Nothing better then the fuzzy love of a sweet but stubborn Shiba. ❤️
Jimmy has got that look when a dog gets almost all it's needs met: It's really happy and secure in it's pack Eyes are shining and mouth is "smiling", it's peaceful but alert because it expects the next good interesting thing. Maybe a bit of individual personality at play too, but I think the good owner who provides good exercise, good training (stimulation and routine) and good nutrition (turkey necks = yum!) then you tend to get this shining result in the animal. Top marks to the owners for putting the effort and knowledge into good practice for the benefit of their dog! Good to share these good standards for other dog owners to see the effort and knowledge and practice in involved but the positive outcome is so worth it! "Jimmy" is having the time of his life!
Socialize, socialize, socialize. Take them to the pet stores or places where they're allowed, the dog groomer, around other people, around other dogs or around cats while they're still young. Mine didn't get to be around other dogs, so he doesn't like them. But he loves other people and cats. They can be little button-pushers, too. If they know something gets a response from you, well, to them even negative attention is still attention. Lol My boy will snatch house shoes or napkins just so you'll try to get them back in a game of 'keepaway'.
Jimmy is so very cute 🥰 we had our Lexi mix of Shiba Inu and Chihuahua for 14 years. She was a good mix of breeds and would love to get another soon. I love your videos, they are so informational and fun to watch. She was very cat-like too. Thank you 😊
I'm more of a cat person, but I'd love to have a dog when I have an adequate home. I'm already searching for what kind of breed i would like, but I will probably do the same as with my cats and adopt a mut. The description of a "cat-like dog" sounds pretty good though, so the Shiba Inu will definitely be on my list for potential dogs ! Great video, thank you.
Hi thanks! We got Jimmy from a breeder in Oklahoma, and he flew to us when he was 8 weeks. I don't specifically recommend our breeder because Jimmy developed environmental allergy after turning 2. I have a couple of breeders video for your reference if you are looking for one. ruclips.net/video/po0z4I8YIo4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/fAhAamezK7Y/видео.html

Jimmy is such a lovely dog! Where did you get Jimmy? Did you get him from a breeder in Washington?
