I would blame the oil ratios before blaming the titanium dioxide. If anything, TD quickens the set up of soap. Also, i mix the snot out of my TD before I mix it in my soap to keep from getting spots. Do you use water based TD or oil based? The oil based one works better for me especially, if you can mix it into the oils before the lye. But, that's not always possible. Check the number of your bar in soapcalc and play around with the amounts of the oils to get a harder bar out of what you want to use. Tinker with your ratio of oils a bit and you should be able to get a harder bar. Also, with sodium lactate....use a teaspoon per pound of oil. I bet embed snowflakes "glued" to the mold would've been cute, too. I like your idea!!! Those keys are super cool! I LOVE those.
Thank you for always providing your valuable information ❤️ I believe the TD I use can be dissolved in hot water so I’ll try that for another soap I have in mind. The only reason I blame TD is because my “Indie” cold process soap was made from the same batter but turned out soft on the parts that included TD. As far as sodium lactate, I do use 1 tsp ppo so I eliminated that as the culprit. I use a combination of soft and hard butter in most of my recipes with a hardness of 42-47 most the time. The only reoccurring ingredient that has caused some softness is shea butter and TD so I had to blame the TD lol. I’ll continue my quest of either an alternative or producing a higher hardness level when using TD. Thank you again! You’re always a BIG help ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
