New Technique: How to Make Soap Imprints (it went horribly wrong) #soap #soapmaking #smallbusiness
Hey there blooming beauties 👋🏾
Today’s video I wanted to show you a new technique in my soap making process & a new tool to elevate the look of my soaps. The imprinted/impression using a piping tip is not a trick that I’ve seen before. The world is full of creative people and it probably has been done, but I am not sure. Either way, I had fun making this soap and will try this technique again. Since the snowflakes were not too noticeable, it gave me an idea for a summer soap, so stay tuned. I hope you all enjoy this video.
I look forward to selling my soaps at the end of January or February. So, I will take you on this journey as a navigate the e-commerce world. Wish me blessings ❤️

Is This the Best Sweet Potato Pumpkin Pie Soap? 🤔 #smallbusiness #soap #soapmaking
Просмотров 7521 день назад
Hey there blooming beauties 👋🏾 Instead of a sweet potato vs. pumpkin pie, I decided to make a sweet potato x pumpkin pie soap. It turned out amazingly well but, if I could do it over again, I would also include pumpkin and sweet potato puree at trace to further drive the concept home. Nonetheless, I hope all enjoy this video. Ingredients: 🥧 Babassu Oil 🥧 Castor Oil (not shown in video) 🥧 Cocoa ...
Easy Foaming Sugar Recipe for the Fall #howto 🧡💛🤍 #smallbusiness #diy

Hey hey hey, blooming beauties 👋🏾 I made another sugar scrub, but it smells more heavenly this time. I’ve been experimenting with different recipes but wanted to return to this tried-and-true one. In my coffee and vanilla sugar scrub video, my batter was SO fluffy; many people may not like that consistency. So, if you aren’t a fan of fluffy batter, this one change can result in a more firm batt...
Inspiration: Turning Foaming Sugar Scrubs into Soap Bars: #scrub #smallbusiness #soap

Hey hey hey, blooming beauties 👋🏾 Today’s video is a good one! I wanted to create a soap in the likeness of my most viewed video, my coffee & vanilla foaming sugar scrub. I say likeness because some ingredients were omitted since saponification (soap-making process) would provide some qualities that the sugar scrub would not otherwise. I hope that you all enjoy this video. Keep blooming beauty!...
How I Made this Beetlejuice Soap: Step-by-step #soap #smallbusiness
Просмотров 1212 месяца назад
Hey hey hey blooming beauties 👋🏾 Todays video is a good one! I wanted to make a Beetlejuice soap based on the Beetlejuice movie. The easiest way for me to recreate his iconic suit was to make horizontal lines (his sleeves) instead of vertical ones. If you wanted to create vertical lines, you can purchase a soap divider. I hope that you all enjoy the making of my Beetlejuice soap and thank you a...

Hey hey hey blooming beauties 👋🏾 Some things have changed since my last full length video. I purchased a new camera so that I could provide better quality content. There are other subtle changes that you all may notice 😉. I wanted to try my skills at making a kojic acid soap despite the controversial surrounding a severe reaction someone got to a soap from another company. Because of the partic...

Hi where I could get the soap cutter that you were showing on your RUclips channel thank you
Hi ❤️ the link to the wire soap cutter is in the description of this video under “soap cutter.”
I would blame the oil ratios before blaming the titanium dioxide. If anything, TD quickens the set up of soap. Also, i mix the snot out of my TD before I mix it in my soap to keep from getting spots. Do you use water based TD or oil based? The oil based one works better for me especially, if you can mix it into the oils before the lye. But, that's not always possible. Check the number of your bar in soapcalc and play around with the amounts of the oils to get a harder bar out of what you want to use. Tinker with your ratio of oils a bit and you should be able to get a harder bar. Also, with sodium lactate....use a teaspoon per pound of oil. I bet embed snowflakes "glued" to the mold would've been cute, too. I like your idea!!! Those keys are super cool! I LOVE those.
Thank you for always providing your valuable information ❤️ I believe the TD I use can be dissolved in hot water so I’ll try that for another soap I have in mind. The only reason I blame TD is because my “Indie” cold process soap was made from the same batter but turned out soft on the parts that included TD. As far as sodium lactate, I do use 1 tsp ppo so I eliminated that as the culprit. I use a combination of soft and hard butter in most of my recipes with a hardness of 42-47 most the time. The only reoccurring ingredient that has caused some softness is shea butter and TD so I had to blame the TD lol. I’ll continue my quest of either an alternative or producing a higher hardness level when using TD. Thank you again! You’re always a BIG help ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Beautiful soap cakes 😊
Really nice
Love the recipe but get rid of the music.
Yu didn't mention the quantity
Thanks for watching and reminding me 🫶🏾 I updated my description to include the recipe by percentages and how to determine how much product is needed to fill your containers, both in size and quantity ❤️
@@SDC2020 please use a different font on the video. Can't read it clearly. Thank you 💖
I’ll be sure to correct this is my next videos. Thank you ❤️
Excellent sharing and now I'm your new subscriber please stay connected and have a great day ❤️
Thank you, I will 🫶🏾
@SDC2020 your welcome
That looks lovely, i really enjoy coffee soaps
Beautiful!!!
I love this. It looks amazing.
Thank you so much ❤️
I love the top improvising. Great job
Thank you! ❤️
Perfect layers and the top is so cute.
Girlllll, you did a fab job on those layers! I'm still learning layers! Have you thought about using sodium lactate to harden your soap bars? I know a lot of soapers use it when making complex designs or they have a soft batter. I've had to leave a soap in the mold for 4 days before it was hard enough to come out. I was learning how to formulate my own recipe...still not that good at it. LOL. I love to soap but, hate that clean up!!!!!!! Ughhh. You gotta try this soap again!!!!! I think it would be cute with an elaborate top...maybe some black and purple glitter then, put something on top that's green and purple? I haven't watched the movie so, I'm no help. LOL. Be blessed and I can't wait to see the remake.
Aww thank you! I appreciate your kind words 🥰. I do sometimes use SL in my soaps to help with un-molding the soap but I did not for this recipe. I will next time for sure!! This soap is on my list of do overs because I agree, some biodegradable glitter and a more intentional top would have elevated it ❤️
@@SDC2020 I'm looking forward to that video!!!!!
I agree what's the website?❤
🔥🔥 you should make a website
I am currently working on it ❤️
Please won't the kojic acid oxide due to d the curing time a d pH balance
Yes, the soap has discolored since making this bar.
Pretty!!!!! Does the wax you added keeps or helps with the melting in warmer months? I’m new to body butters but loveeee them. I think that’s why some do emulsified body butter. Also I subscribed too 😊
Thank you for subscribing 🥰 I truly appreciate it. And yes the wax is supposed to help with melting but that alone doesn’t stand a chance against the FL heat so I’m still formulating to improve this current recipe🤞🏾
you dont use any preservative?
Hello! ❤️ Preservatives are not needed for body butters because they’re anhydrous products, which means they contain no water. I do use vitamin E oil which adds longevity to oils & butters. I hope this helps 🥰
@@SDC2020 Its bath product and maybe i can take my fingers with some water and dip into the cream and this might affect the safety of the product...?
The body butter should not come in contact with water. If you believe it will, you can certainly add a preservative ☺️
Gorgeous. What’s the size of Jar is that???
Hi! 😊 These are 10 OZ jars and they’re linked in my description below ❤️
AMAZING 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Good job Chichie.
Cassia is cinnamon 😅
Shhh… 🤫 LOL! Let’s pretend that I kind of knew that 😅😅 Thank you ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing and teaching us how to do this. There are a billion recipes out there but, they all have the same basic things to start with. I just add whatever I want or need for my own skin. That scrub looks like it could be a wonderful foot scrub! I could use it for sure!!!!!! LOL. I don't like minty smells and that's all you can find for the feet. Where do you get your jars from? I got mine on Amazon because of the high shipping from the bottle companies. I make soap and am thinking of making lotion or a scrub of some type.....Whatever turns out to be easier or more fun to make. LOL.
This would be a perfect foot scrub! Thank you! ❤️ I got these jars from Amazon, I’ll be sure to link it in the description ☺️☺️
Beautiful scrub! 💜 Do you mind posting the percentage to make bigger batch sizes?
Of course I can since we’re all learning from each other ☺️❤️. I was able to find the base recipe here on YT by Tara Lee that the website detailed but I of course tweaked it for my additives. Distilled water: 16.5% SCI: 10% Glycerin: 10% Cocamidapropyl Betaine: 8% - Stearic Acid: 5% - Sugar: 38% Coffee: 10% Vanilla Bean Powder: 2% Preservative: 0.5%
@@SDC2020 Absolutely! Thank you 😊 Can’t wait to see more content from you 💜
A new subscriber and the ingredients does not make up to 100%. Pls which of the ingredients did you not add@SDC2020
Hi, I think this mold would have worked fine, just need a thinner batter and pour higher. great job!!
Thank you so much for the feedback!!! 😊 It helps me to become a better soap maker ☺️❤️
The colors are amazing you did an excellent job.
Stunning
How much preservative was use in this scrub and which one? Thank you
Hi ❤️ I used Optiphen Plus from WholesaleSupplies Plus at the recommended usage rate on their product detail page. I hope this helps! ☺️
HONEYYYYYY! YOU DID AMAZING!!! These are GORGEOUS!!!! I wish you could have seen my mouth as you were decorating!!! I was focusing as much as you were!!!! Absolutely GORGEOUS idea!!!!
Thank you so much! ❤️ I’m glad that you enjoyed them. These are by far, my favorite soaps to create!
@@SDC2020 I absolutely love them!! You did FABULOUS!!!❤️❤️❤️
Just keep it coming. I'm all in! 🎉🥂
Beautiful, I love them!
i didn't dream that the soap would come out that gorgeous. good job🏆
Summer? This kind of body butter melts in summer
I think it still looks great let’s be honest it would still sell
Stunning soap! Love the colors!
Is there a recipe???
Third time is a charm! This is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! I love the video!
Fantastic .
THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL❣️❣️❣️
Gorgeous soap, love it! Hugz, Tree
Oh you need to go full time on RUclips. You are very very good!
Aww thank you! 😊 That is the plan for the near future. Stay tuned! ❤️
Nice! So what do you suggest for the coffee amount being you mentioned it was too much 😊Thankx ❤
Hi! 😊 I would recommend using less coffee. The grounds I purchased for this video were extremely course. Or the use of a coffee grinder could remove some of that harshness. I hope that helps! ☺️☺️
Cool❤
Good job
SO AWESOME!!!!!?❤❤❤❤
Thank you! ❤️❤️🥰
That wasn’t why I’ve made designs that sat over night and then I finished the rest the next day. Try a water discount and sodium lactate and u won’t have that problem. The only time putting hot soap on cold soap and it not work is if ur doing melt n pour. It’s to soft do the water discount n use sodium lactate. When u do a discount and sodium lactate u can’t let it sit in the mold past 24 hrs cause u won’t be able to cut it. I use 4 tablespoons for a 10 pound batch and I cut it about 15-18 hrs after. U won’t ever have this problem again. Great job fixing it. It’s a beautiful soap. I just hate to see that happen to ur beautiful soap. I get the time n luv u put into it. My soaps r completely cured in 3 weeks I do a 50-50 lye solution. I feel so bad for u.
Thank you so much for your advice! I’ll research the 50/50 lye solution and give it a try ❤️ I am still stumped because the top portion was solid but both portions were made the same (without sodium lactate). The only difference was the addition of Titanium D. and the temperatures. For sure a mystery lol 😅
I’m so sorry the bottom acted a fool on you! I wonder what in the world happened? The rest of the bar was GORGEOUS!!!!
Thank you! ❤️ I am wondering the same LOL!
