I don't think inkling having a mediocre aerial game is debatable. Any inkling main would agree with that. Back air is good to catch landing and hit people on the ground, but inkling just doesn't have the hitboxes to punish people in the air. So she rely a lot on catching landings, but catching landings without threatening to hit your opponent in the air before that is much harder to do.

@@Will-uj7yu His use as a secondary can be mainly attributed to how easily fundamentals can be used on the character not just because he's super good. I think the characters lower combo ability and more one dimensional neutral makes his skill ceiling quite low. I personally don't think he can be put on the same tier as Pikachu and Joker or even inkling.
Inkling is a great character in good hands. The mobilty, the ink system and her (his) combos free her (his) from high tier. But her (his) lack of kill power like the other top characters really sometimes can be anoying and the whole difficulty is clearly the main reason she (he) can't be in the top 5. Her (his) place is for me between top 6~10. (yeah I play with the male skin). Conclusion : late mid to bottom top tier. But let's remember something. Being a high or top don't change the love you have for her (him), so let's push Inkling as far as we can and let's show the world a new one. BOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Samus has both weight and amazing recovery, but I've still lost to good Inklings who catch me with a roller. Following matches with other inklings were easier once I spent less time on the ground.
As an Inkling Co-main I can say I’m 100% sure with ESAM confidence... “Inkling? BUSTED. Inkling? BUSTED. I’m nice as hell” Ok Inkling isn’t Top 5, but I fully believe this character is Top 10 and at the VERY least Top 15
I don't know if anyone will read this. But Inkling is my personal favourite and main and if I were to give some advice on how to play the character, I would say don't sleep on back throw. While not as powerful as Ness' (as far as I have seen) it's really good at picking up KO's near ledge. Consider it, it works for me.
Oh absolutely! I'm an Inkling main too, and I'll back you up on that. Lol Her back throw can be busted when the opponent is fully inked and at the ledge.
Same. Inkling main. I agree, Its a good tool to punish people get up from the ledge and shielding. You can pivot behind them and back throw them in not time. Just like palutena's often do. Althoguh in palutena's case it kills earlier.
I think she was top, the nerds affected but when players have started picking up new characters matchup flexibility is harder, and she struggles killing and getting out of pressure
same. Been playing inkling since ssbu came out. Inkling is not top tier. Too many tools in her kit are bad and rarely ever used making her rely too much on back air(which is amazing don't get me wrong.). But It makes her more predictable than her insane dash would otherwise allow her. Nair serves a purpose but it is bad compared to other top tier's, fwd air is slow and bad, down air is one of the worst in the game, neutral b is decent but below average in top tier, and roller will get you killed more than giving you kills in top level play. All of her smash attacks are decent but lack raw power and have massive sour spots as well as needing ink to function properly. Also her OOS options are so bad that most of the time you can't punish anything on shield, you can just dash away. If we look at results only she would barely make it into high tier. I do think she is high tier though.
as a inkling main i legit moved her to my secondary cause i just like to style on people with captain falcon. Everyone is getting hit with THE KNEEEEEE OF JUSTICE!!!!
I remember when I first unlocked Inkling when this game first came out how much fun it was to play as Inkling and how well she fit in as a character and easy to play. I was afraid Inkling was going to be like Mega Man which is a character I don't play well with at all. I will admit Inkling isn't my best character at all though.
Inkling was obviously going to fall out after the meta developed more when people start realizing roller wasn't that OP and she had inconsistent kill percentages in a match. She had Sheik syndrome where she could get all this damage with good neutral, but no reliable way to close out stocks.
That's not entirely true it's actually super matchup dependent, cause say against chroy u have a really big booyah range(like 20+ percent) and it starts pretty early (114 I think) And so killing him becomes not nearly as hard especially when u have the best dash grab in the game and I can condition shield with roller. And really it's like that for most top tiers other then like pika, fox, wario(kinda), peach(kinda) and Mario(kinda)
@@yedidyamajor1456 The point is that even in their bad matchups other top tier don't struggle to kill as much. They all have better killing tools that works in every matchups.
I main inkling I think is almost complete have movement ,good recovery, damage, kill confirm l, frame data but the difficulties to take stock is what take her to high an not top
I used to be an Inkling main, but that was quite early from Ultimate's release. Than went to Kirby, Zelda (Yeah i used to be a Zelda main and for a long time too), Than Diddy Kong. Currently I am a Byleth main (became a Byleth main since my friend convinced me and had somewhat decent results in tournaments). In my opinion, Inkling is a high tier character tho.
This is probably the first time I've been exited about a video beimg released. And this one made me excited BECAUSE IT'S ABOUT PRECOUS INKLING. They should make a video called "why is inkling such a forgettable character?"
I used to be an inkling main but now use joker because every good player knows to shield roller and inkling cant kill easily. But inkling is pretty easy to pick up has a good bair, dash grad, backthrow and initial dash
This character struggles so hard to kill, I can live pretty consistently to 150%+ with Fox just knowing how they want to kill, this character is not top 20
i love playing inkling shes one of the most fun characters in the game in my opinion shes fast, has the best recovery in the game (in terms of not getting edge guarded) and can go in really deep for edge guards and always make it back i don't know why more players play her. Shes good and is really fun i also love Splatoon its one of my favorite games. (if you can't tell i main inkling)
the best recovery in the game belongs to pikachu. Even in terms of not getting edge guarded. Having more angles possible makes it so that pikachu can recover early much easier when reacting to the opponent wanting to edge guard you. Also there is an angle you can get where you snap the ledge with invincibility and makes it impossible for your opponent to 2-frame you, which is impossible as inkling.
Inkling is Top Tier but killing is often stressful due to her predictable kill patterns. I think Inkling is heavily dependent on the player’s ability to have patience, Tech Chasing also needs to be amazing, she has many great tools and her MU spread is great. Shes just a extremely stressful top tier imo you have to take risks, make reads, Edgeguard well and so on.
Inkling is pretty good: good mobility, small hurtbox when running, good frame rate, combo potential; but here's the main problem: ...she's boring... I'm an Inkling main myself, and I am also considering picking another character (Young Link), because there is just one way to play Inkling optimally: you space with back air, condition your opponent to shield, get a grab, up throw + up air + nair combos, go back and forth, jab, space with back air, another up throw; use the bomb or f-air for edge guarding. A character that is very limited in creativity in gameplay is meant to drop from top tiers, since the others are not only good, but allow the player to be creative and yet effective (Pikachu for example). With Inkling is: you played one, you played them all. This could be fixed with some minor tweeks in the specials, since neutral B is useless (there is no situation where neutral B is better than any other option), the side B is good but it's pretty much a guess (if you connect a back air and your opponent techs, then the roller does wonders, but if he doesn't tech then you should HAVE gone for a jab lock...and the problem is that you have to GUESS what's he's gonna do otherwise it'd be too late!); the bomb is good but it's too slow to be used in most cases. This is how I'd fix the Inkling to make her more fun to play: Neutral B: let the inkling walk and jump while holding B (Banjo can do it, she should be able as well); and make it so it also paints the floor; this way it becomes a tactical move against rush characters. Down B: make the bomb work just like Yoshi's Egg Throw, where instead of holding the B button, you just control direction and lenght with the stick and the B button, this way it works faster and it's more versatile. If any of those changes are too good, then just make them use more ink, and problem solved!
Thats how neutral is played for most characters in top play, palu will just go for Nair or fair, peach will just space dtilt or go for safe Aerials. It's not like what inkling does is only inkling, it's just when you play a character optimally a lot of options become ungood and that applies to pretty much all top tiers. I do think that inklings combo versatility is a little small and really only one combo tree is ever worth going for(bair/nair > grab/jab and grab > uthrow extension. Also inkling neutral b is realllllly good, it is super non committal and it stops approaches super well, usually it's unpunishable and just free ink so I don't know where u got the idea that it sucks
Inkling is an "Bottom top tier" or "Ceiling High Tier". Is a character that doesn't have the tools to be one of the best characters in the game but her design makes her automatically an good character. She's one of the most balanced and we'll designed characters in Ultimate.
Inkling could use some very minor buffs to keep her relevant in competitive such as minor frame and/or launch distance changes, but other than that she is a great fighter.
Sky Enforcer Just because I like the Splatoon series does not mean that I think that Inkling should be the best character in the game. I like all fighters and believe that all of them deserve equal potential. Granted, it can sometimes feel bad if one of your mains is struggling in competitive. But from what I have seen, Nintendo is doing their best to strive for all characters to be equally balanced and relevant in the meta.
What would be a nice buff to inkling would be a buff to the moves she does'nt use because they are too bad. Like her tilts except down tilt, and her aerials except back air. That way the character would be more then just a back air machine and it would lead to her being less predictable.
In my eyes, inkling is a high tier at the least, but a top tier if placed in the right hands. ( this can be applied to any character, but I feel like it fits inkling more.)
You're saying Cosmos isn't the "right hands" you're talking about or that he just got unlucky? I feel like he pushed the character a lot more than any other could or did so far, and still didn't have consistent results/notable tourney wins.
@@Will-uj7yu I never mentioned Cosmos in this. I actually feel that he helped make Inkling into a top tier. However because of the lack of representation and the fact that he dropped Inkling, I wouldn't be surprised if Inkling went to being a high tier
Inkling is so hard to judge. Her only weakness is kill issues. And I grant, this can be a significant weakness, if you can't kill then you can't win. But Inkling has amazing damage output and nice combos. Not to mention, Inkling is really fast, and has an amazing (practically un-edgeguardable) recovery. Inkling's upthrow into upair is great, but other than that you won't be earning kills until absurd percents. I can hardly stand watching Cosmos play Inkling, it's highly entertaining because he spams roller, but it just feels so skilless because he's absolutely just fishing for a kill. (Unless of course he can get in an upthrow-upair) It's so hard to remember that Cosmos is actually a really great player when he's literally just fishing for Roller. I respect him much more when he plays Corrin now. Watching Space isn't even much better, he seems more skillful than Cosmos, but at the same time he just spams Bair in neutral because it's an amazing move. I think maybe if someone really dedicated themselves to Inkling they'd do better than Space or Cosmos, but even then there's almost no new tech to learn with Inkling, meaning whatever we can do with her is probably all that can be done. Once again, she's an amazing character in every sense of the word except that she struggles to kill. Where does that then land her on the tier list? For me, it depends on the day. I'd say she's either at the very top of high tier, or the very bottom of low tier. My roommate has played Inkling for all of Ultimate, but he's also been trying to drop her a lot but just hasn't found someone else he likes. I have more MU experience against Inkling than any other characters in this game, and I think bottom of top tier or top of high tier is where she belongs.
@@Will-uj7yu He fishes for roller for kills. Once enemies are past upthrair percent the only effective way to kill is roller then smash attack until back throw at like 170% for inkling. Hence, Cosmos goes for roller a lot. Cosmos is a great player, i like watching him play corrin but watching inkling isn't enjoyable imo. His neutral regularly is good but too much roller spam.
She could be higher than this, but I’m gonna say she’s either borderline top tier or top of high tier. Her killing is quite the struggle, and her get off me tools are pretty meh, but her neutral, ledgetrapping and edgegaurding are SOOOOOOOO good.
chris ladd I just chose those because those where characters on pro guides tier list on their website that are A tier which I interpret as high tier. (Even tho wolf is in their A tier)
I would say Inkling is probably around 15th best in the game.. I feel like it's one of the easier match ups to learn as opposed to characters like Joker, Palu, Pika, Mario, Peach, Wario, etc.. Other characters just have a higher skill window, and Inkling seems to be one of the easier characters to learn and master compared to the other top tiers.
You can spoil this series for yourself by just looking at their tier list on their website (except they have wolf in A tier which confuses me because this series concluded he was top tier).
I definitely see inkling as top tier, and a lack of results doesn’t discourage that as she can really do anything as the only weakness she has can be made up for in skill. Now don’t get me wrong, she’s not the best in the game (maybe top 3rd of top tier) and another reliable kill confirm would be nice, but they want the characters to be good, not overpowered. Say for example they buff inkling so she has more good kill confirms, well congrats, you have just made a new melee fox or a new brawl meta knight. No character should be good at everything.
I'd say they're still barely top tier but have fallen from grace compared to the early meta. They have incredible combos, great movement, and utility. However, once they surpass their niche for Uthrow to Uair, they will struggle to close stocks. Side b may be hard to mash at kill percent, but it's predictable in most scenarios. They need better kill options. If anything back throws should be stronger, improve the combo window for Uthrow to Uair, Dair should be a decent option for kill confirms, and make Down smash stronger.
nah they're both really safe and fast but the hitboxes on inkling's makes it so that you can edge guard with it pretty consistently on a lot of characters. Sonic's spring mostly only good against bad players.
@@Will-uj7yu true but inkling has more lag with there recovery and can't act out if it. And also sonic spring goes higher than inklings up b. Inkling side b in the air is good when recovering but it's laggy and easy to edge guard, while sonic has way more safe and versatile recovery options such as spincharge in the air wich is practically a safe recovery because you can act out of it and it's super fast. Sonic also has homing attack if he wants to recover super low, and he has spin shot and if you don't know what it is look it up but it's basically a burst forward with a bunch of momentum that doesn't goes down but it goes up, and sonic still has a hit box when he does spincharge in the air so it's basically inkling roller in the air but 10× better cause you can act out of it way quicker, and he has a frame 4 up be that's invincible on start up that you can act out of and airdodge. So I wouldn't say inklings recovery is better by a long shot.
When the game first came out I thought inkling was high tier. A month later I thought inkling was the 5th best character in the game (only being beat out by pichu, peach/daisy, olimar/alph, and pikachu during the time). By the time banjo came out I thought that inkling was maybe top 10. After Terry released I thought inkling was bottom top tier (I was starting to question if inkling was even top tier in the first place). After Byleth came out I thought inkling was overrated and that inkling is flat out high tier and 100% not top tier. If you think inkling is top tier, you are simply overrating the character. Not gonna lie tho, inkling is a good character but inkling isn't worthy of being at the top with the best of the best like pikachu, joker, palutena, zss, peach/daisy, etc. Inkling just has to many things that can't exactly be at the same level of top tier and inkling is just hard carried by really good players at this point. And if you got the best inkling dropping the character then you know there is something wrong with inkling in the current meta. I would consider inkling to be on the higher end of high tier but definitely not at the top of high tier. Inkling has too many good tools to be dropped to mid tier so i think inkling will be stuck as a high tier through out the rest of smash ultimate's meta. Currently I think inkling is on the higher end of high tier but I wouldn't be surprised to see inkling moved down to mid high tier in the future.
As an Inkling main, I firmly believe that Inkling can only be a top tier if you are a definitive, hardcore pro. What I mean by that is that she's not like Mario, Yoshi, Roy, Palutena or any of those good characters that you can just pick up and play willy-nilly. Inkling requires a clear understanding of how her moveset and combos works along with hours of practice. My biggest issue with Inkling is easily struggling to finish the stock without a doubt. Seriously though, even Sheik has an easier time getting KOs than Inkling! There are times (almost constantly) that I'd be fighting an opponent who keeps shielding the roller and jumping to avoid grabs, they'd be up to over 250% and I STILL couldn't KO them! And by the time I finish that one stock, I already lost 2 stocks along with over 100% damage on my third!!! And that's with light and middle weight fighters. If I fight a heavy... Forget about it! I also struggle with her combos, but that's a personal issue. Either way, I see her Top Tier potential, but she would normally be a high tier.
You especially need to be very precise with inkling. Not only for the tight up throw up air combo but just in general when playing the character. When you need twice the damage to kill your opponent, you can't allow yourself to make any mistakes in neutral.
@@Will-uj7yu Exactly! It's been awhile since I first wrote this comment, and I actually improved significantly with Inkling. However, I still sometimes struggle with her online due to input lag, which is the problem when her combos need to be very precise.
Why is Inkling considered top tier but Shiek is usually only high tier? They both have the same strenghts (neutral, edgeguarding) and weaknesses (killing).
Because saying that they have the same strengths does not mean they are the same. Inklings neutral and edgegaurding is way better then shieks, and inklings killing is not as big an issue as for shiek
@@yedidyamajor1456 I think inkling killing is as big an issue as of shiek, but as you said inkling's tools are better in general. Like her dash or back air. Also recovery is much better.
I think you should do more things instead of is x character high tier or top tier. I think you should do Is x character mid tier or high tier, or is x character low tier or mid tier, etc
while inkling does struggle to kill, online roller is absolute cancer, its harder to react to and is harder to mash out of, but it also makes her neutral worst too, despite the weaknesses this squid kid has, she is gonna stay in top tier for now, in my opinion if inkling is top tier, she may be the one of the worst top tiers but still good, we'll just see what the future meta has for inkling
you can spam shield into OOS options with most characters online. Without up throw up air combo inkling doesn't kill with grab until insanely high %. If she hit your shield with roller you kill her at around 100% with most characters. Online inkling is bad even with the roller buff, her combo game and dash game gets hit too hard.
I can easily debunk that. I'm an Inkling main and Splatoon 2 is my most played game with over 1,500 hours and counting. I also know quite a few Inkling mains who play Splatoon. Lol PS: this was not intended as a rude reply.
@@Will-uj7yu I don’t know, something about having to fill up their ink and their move set just isn’t my style. Not saying they aren’t a good fighter, just not my style.

Agree
My thoughts as an inkling main:
Inkling seems to get more difficult to play at a top level due to two factors: pressure and, debatable, mediocre aerial game. This is considering that the opponent can parry, can read initial dash patterns, can condition inkling to rely too much on roller, and overall can box inkling out with their better projectiles and/or force them to jump A LOT or whiff grab A LOT.
It's basically the minor exchanges that matter so much for inkling that one mistake or overzealous flub can get punished so hard. And yes, roller is a definitive culprit for A LOT of mash-happy decisions.

“Inkling? BUSTED.
Inkling? BUSTED.
I’m nice as hell”
Ok Inkling isn’t Top 5, but I fully believe this character is Top 10 and at the VERY least Top 15
I don't know if anyone will read this.
But
Inkling is my personal favourite and main and if I were to give some advice on how to play the character, I would say don't sleep on back throw. While not as powerful as Ness' (as far as I have seen) it's really good at picking up KO's near ledge. Consider it, it works for me.
Oh absolutely! I'm an Inkling main too, and I'll back you up on that. Lol
Her back throw can be busted when the opponent is fully inked and at the ledge.
@@nickh.4940 Ah, I see you're a man of culture. ;)
Same. Inkling main. I agree, Its a good tool to punish people get up from the ledge and shielding. You can pivot behind them and back throw them in not time. Just like palutena's often do. Althoguh in palutena's case it kills earlier.
As a inkling main I need to know
I can tell by your profile picture
Up throw > up air
Inn0c3nT that’s a mii gunner combo
Ultra gamer thats inkling kill confirm
Inn0c3nT also a Mii gunner kill confirm...
Kinda
Inkling struggles to kill, so many counter picks, as a inkling main since day one, Inkling is NOT Top tier
You don’t need to go for kills to win. Ultimate is a defensive game.
Me: WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN
Is this narrator Lady Luck?
Inklings high tier change my mind proguides (haven’t watched it yet)
Edit: they didn’t change my mind 😐
as a inkling main i legit moved her to my secondary cause i just like to style on people with captain falcon. Everyone is getting hit with THE KNEEEEEE OF JUSTICE!!!!
And the heel of shame
I remember when I first unlocked Inkling when this game first came out how much fun it was to play as Inkling and how well she fit in as a character and easy to play. I was afraid Inkling was going to be like Mega Man which is a character I don't play well with at all. I will admit Inkling isn't my best character at all though.
Someone: Uses an unsafe move on their shield.
Inkling mains: Squee squee, idiot.
Imagine if we were allowed to fling the roller in ssbu-
I don't know how but I feel like it'd make down b more useful in competitive matches.
There were no Wolf's harmed in the making of this video.
In my opinion, Inkling is a high tier character tho.
hollowrift .__. dang you went all over the place glad you found your character though!
who asked
This is probably the first time I've been exited about a video beimg released. And this one made me excited BECAUSE IT'S ABOUT PRECOUS INKLING. They should make a video called "why is inkling such a forgettable character?"
dont forget inklings terrible out of shield options
I used to be an inkling main but now use joker because every good player knows to shield roller and inkling cant kill easily. But inkling is pretty easy to pick up has a good bair, dash grad, backthrow and initial dash
For once it’s actually a good question
True
Ikr
This character struggles so hard to kill, I can live pretty consistently to 150%+ with Fox just knowing how they want to kill, this character is not top 20
So I guess u play against bad inklings?
yedidya major I agree, Inkling can take advantage of fox’s linger recovery.
Not even top 20 Jesus man lmao
wait what
Nana Akuoko She is probably top 15 but like saying not even top 20 wtf
i love playing inkling shes one of the most fun characters in the game in my opinion
shes fast, has the best recovery in the game (in terms of not getting edge guarded) and can go in really deep for edge guards and always make it back
i don't know why more players play her. Shes good and is really fun
i also love Splatoon its one of my favorite games.
Inkling is pretty good: good mobility, small hurtbox when running, good frame rate, combo potential; but here's the main problem:
...she's boring...
This is how I'd fix the Inkling to make her more fun to play:
Neutral B: let the inkling walk and jump while holding B (Banjo can do it, she should be able as well); and make it so it also paints the floor; this way it becomes a tactical move against rush characters.
Down B: make the bomb work just like Yoshi's Egg Throw, where instead of holding the B button, you just control direction and lenght with the stick and the B button, this way it works faster and it's more versatile.
If any of those changes are too good, then just make them use more ink, and problem solved!
underrated comment!
@@yedidyamajor1456 finally someone who makes sense here
Inkling is an "Bottom top tier" or "Ceiling High Tier".
Is a character that doesn't have the tools to be one of the best characters in the game but her design makes her automatically an good character.
She's one of the most balanced and we'll designed characters in Ultimate.
We want a inkling buff !
Thanks I really needed this video or someone talking seriously about this character
Finally i have been waitin 4 this :D
This was the character I enjoyed watching the most but since Steve is coming he’s probably going to be my new favourite
Inkling mains need a resurgence, people are starting to sleep on us now
Top of high tier, probably top 10 if fully optimized.
Where's M2K?
Wait, this isn't VGBootcamp...
I have more MU experience against Inkling than any other characters in this game, and I think bottom of top tier or top of high tier is where she belongs.
how is Cosmos spamming roller??? You think people call him the best inkling in the world because he spams roller? Tf you talking about??
@@Will-uj7yu He fishes for roller for kills. Once enemies are past upthrair percent the only effective way to kill is roller then smash attack until back throw at like 170% for inkling. Hence, Cosmos goes for roller a lot. Cosmos is a great player, i like watching him play corrin but watching inkling isn't enjoyable imo. His neutral regularly is good but too much roller spam.
I always thought that inkling in ultimate was like sheik in smash 4
She could be higher than this, but I’m gonna say she’s either borderline top tier or top of high tier. Her killing is quite the struggle, and her get off me tools are pretty meh, but her neutral, ledgetrapping and edgegaurding are SOOOOOOOO good.
Whatever tier the character is, we can all admit the music that they brought along is Top Tier
This series hasn’t concluded a single character being high tier yet.
All of the characters they have been talking about are pretty set in stone top tiers, they should do young link who has alot people on both side
@@chrisladd1523 yeah or someone like greninja, roy, or mario
@@superfrubblez6123 yeah greninja and roy would totally work but i don't think anyone is arguing that mario isn't a top tier anymore
chris ladd I just chose those because those where characters on pro guides tier list on their website that are A tier which I interpret as high tier.
Inkling is probably harder then palu, palus only kinda hard tech is ledge canceling. And Mario is also not very hard
I think high tier honestly, inkling is really good but not as good as top tier
Young link could be interesting for this series
Is there ever gonna be an 8.0 tier list by pro guides??
You can spoil this series for yourself by just looking at their tier list on their website (except they have wolf in A tier which confuses me because this series concluded he was top tier).
is little mac low tier or bottom tier is the real question
bottom
abyss tier
Young Link, Mario, Roy and even Greninja would be really interesting in videos like these.
Marios been done already
OathBreaker send link?
@@mrgibbles5427 ruclips.net/video/rRwPHTUKPtQ/видео.html
OathBreaker that isn’t exactly the same as a in depth character analysis like they’ve been doing with these high or top tier videos.
@@mrgibbles5427 i realized that after sending but its close enough tbh inkling is a newcomer so they may be doing this style for non OG characters
Next one... Is Ganon hight tier or top tier?
As a combo heavy character, inkling needs some time to show her true potential, so judging her now isn't really pertinent...
High tier
the game has been out for 2 years. I do think judging her now is pertinent.
Sonic recovery is better than inkling recovery in my opinion
nah they're both really safe and fast but the hitboxes on inkling's makes it so that you can edge guard with it pretty consistently on a lot of characters.
Inkling have the same problem with sheik and still people put inkling in high tier and sheik is like mid tier at best.
I think inkling is good but i think she is overrated
I had an inkling you would do this video
Inkling did lose in the meta a bit,but the character overhaul is a top tier.
High:yes
top:yes
She's definitely top tier if you're Colorondo8.
@@Will-uj7yu
Exactly! It's been awhile since I first wrote this comment, and I actually improved significantly with Inkling. However, I still sometimes struggle with her online due to input lag, which is the problem when her combos need to be very precise.
i think Inkling is the worst character in top tier
Why is Inkling considered top tier but Shiek is usually only high tier? They both have the same strenghts (neutral, edgeguarding) and weaknesses (killing).
Because saying that they have the same strengths does not mean they are the same.
Inklings neutral and edgegaurding is way better then shieks, and inklings killing is not as big an issue as for shiek
@@yedidyamajor1456 I think inkling killing is as big an issue as of shiek, but as you said inkling's tools are better in general. Like her dash or back air. Also recovery is much better.
I say the lower end of top tier. Like inkling's for the most part a well rounded cjaracter
What the fuck
Top Tier
I need to use her more
I think you should do more things instead of is x character high tier or top tier.

I love inkling

Inkling mid tier, Ridley top tier
High imo. Having played the character for 2 years, they tend to struggle vs zoners & uthrow uair isn't a reliable kill confirm
I was expecting this after the other vids. And I think she's high tier cause of the lack of players
I’m not a huge fan of inkling. I’m a casual player, but I just always find them annoying to play as, and play against.
how is inkling annoying so play as? She's the most fun character to play imo. I agree with the last part though
@@Will-uj7yu I don’t know, something about having to fill up their ink and their move set just isn’t my style. Not saying they aren’t a good fighter, just not my style.
Imagine thinking inkling is still top tier in 2020
Inkling gets walled out too easily, and in a aerial-centric meta game, a great ground game gets you only so far. I'd go as far as to say the top of mid-tier
Lel ok dude
Top tier because of roller
That tells me you don't play inkling if you think roller is what makes her top tier. if inkling is top tier it's definitely not becasue of roller.
Not anymore he’ll rarely touch pikachu cosmos is a corrin main now
He uses corrin more now because of online. Pikachu is nerfed online (as is every combo character). Once offline comes back he won't use corrin often in tourneys
I think at the end of top tier
I think the very best of high tier
