It hit the the catapult system that runs in a track on the ground. It’s how they propel the cars when crash testing them.

They should test with the longer engine that has less space in front of the engine
they don't go fast enough, and too much contact surface with crumple barriers for it to matter

It has protective roll bars, obviously you are not safe cuz you have no roof but those things can save your life.

Crash test are basically a test of airbags..... That shit z4 can tear into pieces traveling at speeds of 120kph upwards.
proof?
as a witness of few serious crashes with e85 z4 i can tell you: “bullsh!t”! And i am sure, that this new z4 is even stronger. my e85 totalled newer nissan maxima without significant damage to itself (i wasn’t injured at all), a friend of mine in his z4m destroyed a concrete lamppost in a high speed crash and survived with minor injuries. these cars are much stronger, than ordinary family wagons.
