Great video! We missed the straw market our last cruise in July due to excursion time restrictions. So sad! But my husband always says not to haggle too hard bc Bahamians had a very hard time over the pandemic. Everyone there is so nice, I would love to buy a lion fish too!
I always try to be kind. I agree with your husband. Everyone on these ships can afford whatever amount these nice people ask for. One should not abuse the fact that this is how they sell. Ten dollars more or less will not break our banks but do make a great difference to them. They deal with thousands of tourists every day. To them that adds up very quickly.
@@BrandonGrednerI did rhat out of respect. The man is trying to make a living. There is inflation. I did not want people to go there 3 yrs later thinking that this fish should still be what I paid.
Nice video shopping for your souvenir. These people do work hard especially for a hand crafted item but the initial $65 was too much. How much did the second guy sell the lion fish?
Sorry. I knwe that everyone would have loved to know the amounts. After careful thought, I decided not to include the actual negotiated amounts and what I paid to protect their earning ability. That's why I muted all the amounts except the initial sales price. Again, my apologies. I hope you understand.
Man if you don't want to spend any money just don't go on vacation to the Bahamas. Go to Mexico or something where you spend pesos. American dollars are no more than dollars in the Bahamas and cost of living is even higher

Why are you not saying the price, we can’t hear the amount

$10 is far too cheap
