The most frustrating part is . . . they never gave me their recipe for poblano soup. Haven't been able to replicate it.

All the food looks a lot better from prior years. I can understand the extra charge for lobster. Though last year on Independence we were lucky to have multiple lobster tails without an extra charge. The crepes are new to me! My daughters would love the crepe station. What a great video of all the included food. Makes me want to sail on Symphony!!
I agree. The new MDR menu is simpler but really good in my opinion. The fact that you go through the dinner service much faster is also a plus. Everything tasted really good.

@@pinkcarterinc. I don’t know the name of the beach but it is at the the restaurant. Swank Tapas Bar. Your driver knows where that is.

@@pinkcarterinc. No. No middle man charging you more that what it's worth. You tell them I have to be back at the port at xyz time and they will make that happen. No worries.

@@pinkcarterinc. walk all the way down to the end of the complex. You will see them there offering their service. We paid $40 per person and gave him a $20 tip.

What I love most about you and your videos is you make the best of all your situations. Things can always be worse. Some days the sun isn’t shining, but that’s okay we need to be the sunshine sometimes too. I can’t wait to be in Symphony for our first cruise next May.

It always amazes me that the same people who rag on prints probably grew up with some kind of poster on their walls as a kid. If you like a print, you instantly win. Why? because you can collect that print for a much lower price than a painting. Both a print and a painting will sit on the wall and guess what.... the wall doesnt know the difference. They both beautify your home the same way, and the only difference, is the immaterial, yet forever hungry, ego of the owner. Personally, I own both paintings and prints. I purchased a Kinkade print, because a real Kinkade painting doesn't belong in a private home, hidden away from the world. It belongs in a museum, for everyone to enjoy.
Set your cell phone alarm to give you plenty of time to get back to the ship. The alarm doesn't need internet to work.

We usually walk the ship on Sea days as well. This time we were so tired that we decided to take it easy and rest to prepare for the 6 days aheadof us. It was worth it.😎

@@garydefilippis3561I agree. I tell people all the time that it is magical how the countless activities, meals, super sophisticated shows happen so flawlessly on these ships. These guys are also expets Fixing whatever issues and moving forward very quickly with a smile. It is amazing. You can't find that anywhere on land.
I left out of NJ on July 5th my first cruise ever and with symphony I loved every minute of it.

Wow Royal ramped up the sail away. The DJ got the crowd going, much different than other sailings. I 100% agree with you about the bigger ships. Smaller ones don't do it for me either. Wide open spaces, 14+ decks, activities indoor and outdoor from morning to night are my thing. Love Oasis class ships all together. My family though is not sailing on Symphony this year as we wanted a different itinerary. We booked on MSC Meraviglia to Bermuda this time with balcony rooms. I'm already mentally preparing myself that it won't be as easy as Royal Caribbean's embarkation. Fingers crossed with service will be good just as RC. Hoping to sail on another Royal ship next time!
@@JustTheilogs MSC has a completely different vibe than Royal Caribbean but their ships are beatifull. I have booked MCS for my clients and they all have had a great experience. Their Bermuda sailing is awesome. I'm looking into it myself. You know, everything is about your mindset. I watch you guys in your vlogs. You have a nice family. You'll have a great time. This is a very nice ship for sure. I would definitely do this 9 day sailing or even the 5 day Bermuda one. We just sailed Symphony of the Seas out of New Jersey. That's a really nice one too. Hairspray and Flight are my favorite shows on that ship. If you are into specialty dining, this ship has Wonderla, Hooked, and Hibachi, which the Oasis OTS did not have. I love Puerto Plata. I took the same tour you did but with a different driver. I really wish i got his card because I'm flying back in August and work like to hire him for a whole day or two. We're thinking about moving there. What's the name of the company your driver works for? I believe mine works for the same company and if like to find him when I get there. All i have is him is a pic he took with my wife and I. So if you remember the name i would appreciate the assistance.
