  • Review and demonstration of the Ryobi one+ OPP1820 18V cordless pole saw or pole pruner. The Ryobi cordless pole saw is ideal for safe tree pruning and cutting branches from ground level. The main features of the Ryobi pole saw are discussed including how to extend the pole. The Ryobi pole pruner has an 8 inch chainsaw blade and can easily cut through branches up to 6 inches in diameter. The pole saw is then shown cutting a Holly tree and pruning a Lime tree.

    Very useful and down-to-earth. Particularly useful to UK followers as it covbers the model on sale in the UK! Do not confuse with the 40v version which seems to be sold in other markets.

    Thanks for posting this helpful video. Does the electrical connection between the extension pole and other parts always work efficiently?
    Thanks.

    Hi helpful video, can you give some pointers on how to use the oil i.e. how much to pour into reservoir and if the chain needs lubricating? Just got one today and there's no info on this in the instructions.

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  Год назад +1

      The side of the oil reservoir is semi transparent. Hold the cutting head so that the chain is horizontal, unscrew the grey cap and pour in the chain oil slowly (it doesn'thold much oil). You will see the level of the oil rise through the white panel on the opposite side to the chain bar. I fill it to the top of that panel.

      @@bigtedshome Thanks, I take it I don't need to use any on the chain itself.

      @@tonyjames5444 No, the oil is fed from the oil reservoir onto the chain

    А это дерево было сорняком? Для каких целей вы его спилили? Открыть визуальный доступ на Ваш участок?

      The tree was growing out over the footpath and road. It was also very close to the telephone wire so it had to be cut back.

      Nice review. Since I'm already in the Ryobi battery platform I am strongly considering this tool for pruning crepe myrtles in the yard.
