    Ive been watching all your videos for the last two weeks since finding your page. Ive learned a lot! The over seeding one was really important as I have four different types of grass in my yard and I bet the people who owned this house before me did what you said. So glad you opened comments, been wanting to thank you for great videos for ages. Now that you've fixed your neighbors yard, if you ever need another rescue Bermuda yard I'm in Alpharetta but I'm slowly making progress thanks to you.
    Suggestions for future episodes; plumb your air conditioner drainage into your sewer (I confirmed with Alpharetta it's within code but haven't done mine yet), Bermuda on steep hills (we're in GA after all), how much sun does Bermuda need (and when you should just mulch near a tree), yellow and purple sedge (burn your lawn or is there hope?), mowing when it rains every day and occasionally tropical storms (you know, typical GA weather).

    Absolutely LOVE your tips (most of all - the lawn tips). I have been following you for some time now, and our yard is the BEST in our neighborhood, thanks to you.
    Quick question: Is the Liquid Lawn a fertilizer that won’t burn the Bermuda lawn during the hot summer (I’m in the Metro Atlanta area as well)? My back yard is super green, thick, and lush, but the front isn’t as thick- (it’s green, semi- thick) but looks great as well (could be due to a tree in the front )

    • @HowTowithDoc

      If you apply at 50% dosage... and do so right after a good rain... no burn.

    Hey Doc - love your channel and love to see you gaining subscribers. Well deserved! I’m a little nervous about putting Spectracide weed stop down. My Bermuda sod is 4 months old, weeds are popping up, I want to use the granules as you do for killing weeds and pre emergent. Thoughts? I live near Atlanta - hot but only low 80’s today.

    • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  6 лет назад +2

      Hmmm... 4 month old sod.... I'm ok with some weeds in it right now being so young and being summer time. It's just now rooting and growing. I would wait until Sept. Then... after a GOOD rain... spray lightly with Liquid weed killer. Also at that time put down some granular preemergent. Then get on the schedule. You have to be a little patient with new sod.

    • @brianedwards3832

    So, I like a good challenge. That's why I'm growing a bermudagrass lawn in Ohio. Yup. O-H-I-O. Haha. Now, I've of course chosen the Yukon variety, that's one of the most winter hardy, and, I'm tucked away in the southern edge of the state, right on the Ohio river (The Arborday map puts us in zone 7) so I might not be as crazy as you think :)).
    Anyway Doc, I too want to thank you so much for your channel and great videos on bermuda. It's helped me out a ton! My goal is to have the absolute best bermuda lawn in Ohio! (that may not be that difficult. Haha). Any tips for us bermuda-lovers in the north? Higher Phosphorus maybe? an even higher fall cutting height?
    Any help would be appreciated, and keep up the awesome work!

    Doc...You are the Man!!! Thanks for making all of these videos. This is the first year that i have taken over doing treatments myself and you have allowed me to take my lawn to the next level and I'm super happy with the results so far!!! I did buy a battery operated sprayer late last year so i've been using that to put down my liquid lawn and others that you've recommended. Haven't tried the blue dye yet because i know it's coming out. I picked up about 6 bags of milorganite this year for my 4500 square ft. of Bermuda that i have. Have a tru-cut reel mower and yard is finally starting to get where i've been wanting it to be! BTW...i found some milorganite at Walmart from a tip and they luckily had some left. I'm getting ready to aerate in a week or two and i'm going to try some "Soil3" from "SuperSod" to top dress some areas that i'm getting back to where it needs to be after taking care of some drainage issues that has been washing away my top layer of soil for years. Love to know what you think about the aerate and "Soil3" top dressing. Thanks for all you do!!!

    • @KevinLeeVlog
      @KevinLeeVlog 5 лет назад

      @@HowTowithDoc I live in Georgia so i assume my temperature is my around the same as yours. There might be some colder mornings in the last few weeks. • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  5 лет назад

      If you look CLOSELY... you'll see that most of the RED tips are on the FINE blades. It's a STRESS condition this time of year from late frosts we had more than likely. i.e. 34 degrees and frost on the grass. It should be fine. However, also get a soil test done. Could be low phosphorous as well. But my guess is stress. Have them as well.

    Is this the generic Bermuda grass or is it a hybrid? I’m having the generic type consume my centipede yard more and more every year and I hate it. It’s very thin and even in the middle of the summer when lawns are at their fullest, I can still see the soil from above the Bermuda grass due to how thin it is. Nothing improves it and I’m almost to the point of sodding it with zeon zoysia.

    I've got a real small lot (.11 acre) with Bermuda sod lawn established about 9 mos ago. The back is about 30'X40' and the front is a little smaller. Front gets a lot of Sun but the back gets some shade close to the house. The lawn looks okay in the front but the strip on the other other side of the driveway hasn't greened up as much as I want. We have 2 dogs so the back sees a lot of pet traffic. Would the Super Juice lawn fertilizer be the ticket and how much should I use per application?

    Hey doc, Clorox will clean up the dye from your concrete. I use plain clorox spray bottle for kitchen and bath.

    Hey! Looking at repairing my lawn with Daniela Bermudagrass by Allstar Seed Company. Do you have any experience with this grass?

    Ever tried to hit a golf ball out of thick Burmuda grass? It's a nightmare, beast!

    Can you put this stuff down in any temperature? I just bought a house with a Bermuda lawn and it’s in terrible shape. I just put milorganite down last weekend. Would it hurt to go ahead and put down the liquid lawn?

    Hi Doc, I just put down a good dose of Urban Farms Liquid Fert during my lunch hour. I came back to work and was reading up more on it and realized it mentioned spraying late in the day. Do I run any risk spraying it like I did in the heat of the day here in Mississippi? It's hot! A little concerned....

      @HowTowithDoc  6 лет назад

      I don't think I've ever sprayed it any time other than the heat of the day to be honest. Unlike STRONG 20-0-0 or 30-0-0 sprays it's pretty forgiving and light. Let me know in a few days.

      Ok, update... Two days later and all is good. Awesome really. No problems whatsoever. If anything I can see noticeable results. Color is good and just looks ‘healthier’ if that makes any sense. Haha. Thanks Doc

    Why not green dye?

    Why did you choose bermuda? If you chose it that is. I thought bermuda was more for mojave desert type regions where it gets super hot and dry. I've been looking to reseed my lawn here in Vegas with it because it requires the least water. Love your vids!

    How long does the blue dye color hang around?

    • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  6 лет назад +3

      Few days.... if dry it will withstand a light rain. The iron kicks in pretty quick, just don't OVER iron.
