- To continue my Trip in Colorado in this Ford Bronco, we are hitting Imogene Pass which takes you from Telluride to Ouray. The ride up the pass coming from the Telluride side wasn't overly eventful, but going down towards Ouray got a little interesting at points. If we were to do it again we both agreed that we would go from Ouray to Telluride on this off road trail.

Forgot to thank you for the video. It really captures the beauty of that area.
Did Imogene and Engineer passes last August, (2021), with my daughter. What a beautiful place! We started in Ouray going toward Telluride. It was the height of the season for 4-wheeling and the trails were very crowded. That was the most dangerous part of the trip...just getting by people on those tight trails with a 1000' foot drop at the edge. Vehicles going uphill are supposed to have the right of way, but it really comes down to whoever can safely get over to allow someone to pass. We were in a 21 year old 4Runner, so it is a little more stressful if you are worrying about breaking down.
I know the feeling of worrying about breaking down! The trip was a ton of fun, and the trails were awesome!
My grandparents are giving me their stock 85k mile 1993 bronco XLT and i'm looking to overland it next year. Starting on the build in a month or so, but this gives me hope and i love to see them getting used like this!
Hell yah! You’re gunna love it! They are super capable vehicles even in stock form!
Just wondering how that build is going?
@@goactoverland1776 not great, the bronco turned out to be huge PITA, electrical issues left and right. I've delayed any real overlanding thoughts until i get it running at 100%. Fighting the E4OD right now, its dropping gear in 3rd and 4th, contemplating just putting a ZF5 or an M5R2 in the truck and calling it a day, I'd rather the 5th gear and just cut out all the electronics that the E4OD involves. but other than that it's doing great and has no other issues. SO, overlanding may be a 2024 idea vs a 2023. And i just bought a 2012 Boss 302 I'm pouring money into for a track car, so who knows anymore lol
what kind of milage are you getting in your Bronco?
I believe it was about 5mpg or n the trails, 8 in town and 15 on the highway
I do not like to step in D.S. in my front yard while my dogs are fenced in in the back yard... But to complain about a couple of dogs stretching their legs out in the middle of no where in the mountains, not in a town, or city ??? you guys must have lived very sheltered lives... I did give you a thumbs up nice video till dog talk...
Oh I don’t mind dogs running around, I suppose I should have complained about the owner. I guess I would have expected her to recall the dogs with an approaching vehicle. Last thing I want to do is hit a dog when it darts out infront of the truck.
I was thinking what happens if the bronco breaks down?
We would have limped it into town if we could and I would fix it in the parts store parking lot, or if it breaks on the trail, catch a ride down and fix it on the trail.
