Hi guys. I just wanted to say your episodes get better and better. You have been my favorite sailing channel for months and now if i could only watch one youtube channel it would be yours. Thanks for sharing the adventure.
I found your 3 days ago channel while looking for a boat myself hahaha and I’ve watched every episode so far back to back ,, you two are amazing and love your videos, I really like how you even put some of your negative moments in them , I’m really dreading getting to the last video but at the same time would like to jump ahead but won’t let myself . One thing I’ve noticed is you two are always talking about having to run the engine or the wind is low ,,, are you in a hurry ? A little advice from a 52 year old guy that’s seen some stuff in my life ,, there’s always a lesson in our experiences we just have to sit back and see them , and we can’t learn from our mistakes if we don’t take chances Oh and Lyndon you must have grown up on the farm you’re not scared to tackle a problem like your solar arch or the retro fitted oil cooler GOOD JOB MAN Love you guys I hope this finds you in good health and safe

Hey Lyndon that's quite the look you have going on there with the shades beard hoody and the sweater. Oh yeah big fella you got it goin on with the laid back Lyndon look. Cinnamon buns and We're sailing and reefing too 😀. Absolutely apologize for nothing you guys are batting 1000 go getem team Walde
How do you cope with the “SO TIRED” feeling sailing around the most beautiful place in Canada, learning to sail, eating great food, watching movies and being with your soul mate! I only wish I could feel your pain for one week!!!! Try not to wet too depressed.
Maybe this would help... Rolly-Anchorage This is quite common in anchorages that are open on one side and where the prevailing wind comes from anywhere but from the head of the harbor. To overcome this you can turn your boat into the waves by deploying bow and stern anchors. We have found that this is very tenable as an overnight or longer term solution for our boat.
Congrats! Was curious if you considered putting out an aft anchor to bring your nose into the swell? So Linden gets credit for the top speed of 9.1 since he was at the helm! WTG man!
It's so nice following you guys,,,you 2 are Good People ! Most of the other sailing couples seem to think they have to use " T & A " to attract people to watch their channels but you 2 are just so Natural and Honest you don't need to use Tactics like T&A to attract folks to ur channel,,,,,I know ur videos are just a Tiny amount of time outta ur days but a very Pleasent time at that. Sooooo have you thought about Whats Next ? Have you considered sailing South around the States and maybe shooting East to the Bahamas when you hit the lower east side of Florida? Maybe sailing South and meeting in person some of your Patreons as you guys Travel ?
Oh and a couple of thoughts on wind, you will get more used to it in time, on my boat I carry my 150% up until about 15-17 knots, then switch to my 85% Yankee, at 23- 25 knots I throw in my first reef in the main, 2nd at 30-32 knots. Above that have a dedicated storm job and storm tri. Having the two deep reefs in the main is really nice for that.
Great video folks and I admire your "intestinal fortitude" anchoring in open bays. Just a tip, for next time (!) Oak Bay behind Mary Tod Island has protected anchoring as has Bedwell Harbour (POETS Cove). Also (but further onward) the southern "Inlets" of Prevost Island have good anchorage and a perfect view of the sunset.
Love you guys!!!!! Made me laugh so much, you seem like such awesome people, thanks so much for sharing your journey :) - Can totally relate to the swell, had our most rolly night the past weekend, being tossed about your bed makes sleep impossible, but getting a good days sailing in makes it all worthwhile.
This was an awesomely fun episode! You both made it a joyful and interesting time aboard. Quite a different mood from the first few episodes.....time and experience can make a rather large difference on how one views.....anything. Thank you both!!
wow that is great and thanks for taking we the viewer's with you , I will be heading up that way next year to go around the island from Phinney Bay Washington . you two put out great video's . What is next ?
I envy your furnace. We’re starting to freeze here in The Chesapeake Bay. We gotta tough it out a bit more before we jump to Antigua at the start of November. Then no doubt I’ll complain about the heat.
That is awesome! Glad you guys made it back in one piece without any drama! I am going to be doing that trip this coming spring then heading down the coast, sitting in Port Townsend now. Looking forward to your episodes down the coast!
Congratulations on your first circumnavigation!! Your vids keep getting better and better, can't wait for the next trip. Any thoughts to warmer weather for the winter, Mexico maybe? CHEERS Steve h.
Another great video! Congrats on completing your circumnavigation!!! I really enjoyed the bird's song that reminded Lyndon of the wold's longest word. It seemed to go on forever! I wonder what kind of bird it was? I noticed at the end of the video what I thought was a reference to fixing Lyndon's leg? Have y'all figured out what his reoccurring leg problem is? I hope it's not a big deal!!! THANKS for sharing your adventures!!!
Edward Walsh .....?????....... I sailed 13 days straight from Victoria to Ensenada Mexico so I could avoid America. America is shit. Of my three trips south, this was the best.
Appreciate the videos: Question from a long term fan; what brand is the engine hoist davit you have holding the 7.5 merc? I have the same dingy engine and it looks like you fit the perfect hoist; it looks very functional and elegant, thanks again
YOU are right. You have to Appologize for absolutely nothing! It is even for me as an old Sailer very enjoyable to watch your vids. Ähm, I still hate your beard do, remembers me to match on my Military Time and the Moslems Killers.
yeah, wiki shows Canada day is July 1st... Makes me wonder where they are now, this mid October, i hope they've left cold & damp costal waters of Victoria
@rawbin13 I circled/sailed Vancouver Island last year and the Wifi is slow or non-existant from Port Hardy south. Tofino has excellent service and a few marinas before and after however, if your "on the hook" i.e. anchored - then you're lucky to find any cell service (let alone WiFi) and then, you need to be careful of your data cap on your phone's contract.
Lyndon.....you could easily fab a boat stabilizer or two similar to this, for better times at anchor: www.magmaproducts.com/Products/Marine_Products/Stabilizer/stabilizer.html
You most likely know already, but your area has recently become earth quake active, be aware, be safe..continue to have fun...That is an order from your CP Captain...lol CP=(Couch Potato)
Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu is the longest place name, I know this only because I have driven there and the sign post is rather long.

I kept thinking, 'Don't stop yet, please don't stop, please keep on'. And you know it came true! Excellent 26:55.

You guys pick such lovely places to anchor!
You need an electric winch for the anchor :))

hey whats the heater like, hard to light , blows out, any soot come out on deck, heats the boat up well, is it a dickinson?
Appreciate the videos: Question from a long term fan; what brand is the engine hoist davit you have holding the 7.5 merc? I have the same dingy engine and it looks like you fit the perfect hoist; it looks very functional and elegant, thanks again
