Those high pitched notes are the reason Freddie called Roger the dog whistle. He said Roger could hit notes so high only dogs could hear him. Lol!😂

Roger Taylor sings an A5 here. Freddie's Rock In Rio Blues goes up to Bb5 (as high as Roger's note in Bohemian Rhapsody). Freddie's high notes has more of a chest voice quality, and Roger's voice just sounds like pure falsetto. Roger's voice sounds higher because it is a much lighter voice, they were different types of tenors. Roger was a lyric tenor (most tenors are lyric tenors), Freddie was more of a (spinto/dramatic tenor), they are quite rare to find, especially these days. Basically Queen used the sound effect they required in a song. In My Fairy King they wanted Roger's falsetto sound, in the song See What A Fool I ve Been (a heavy blues song), recorded a year later than My Fairy King, they used Freddie's high note (B5 note). They basically matched the type of high notes to fit in with the song, many people don't realize this. It was certainly great for tham that they had the option to do this.

Thanks, kids.. a quite unique song... some of the highest vocals are also from drummer Roger Taylor.. Freddie plays piano, and Brian on very innovative guitar....this was from one of their very early and creative albums..(a little "unusual" and not for everyone...lol) I love that you reacted!
