Love this track what a fantastic singer Performer Frontman never to be bettered he's just unique I was lucky to have attended this concert in 1975 24th Dec Hammersmith Odeon London Love your reactions as usual ❤
Yes Freddie was and still is the greatest front man of all time. Also heard in this song was the amazing talent of each and every band member. They knew exactly what the others needed. Their talent was Mind blowing. You see Queen was Freddie and Freddie was Queen . The more you react to Queen the more you will see it.
Thank you...great reaction.....let’s talk about Freddie’s outfit.......wing tips on the sleeves and on the end of his pants are a reference to the Roman God Mercury who was also known as the Winged Messenger...legendary Freddie🤩
Freddie's voice will be bouncing around the universe forever, endless. Thankfully Queen used film for every live performance so not only can we can enjoy it but future generations will also enjoy their songs. This one is an amazing example of how progressive and influential Queen was even in the very beginning of their music career. This song is 50 years old this year!
Freddie's voice is just magical touched by angels this performance so gooooddd freddie is so missed my god of course there never be another freddie mercury for me he is the greatest musician ever no body can take his place ever but of course all the members are very talented queen isthe all package the best band ever walked on this planet good reaction❤❤❤
If you're referring to when it was released, then yes this year will mark the 50th anniversary. But the song itself is older than that. Brian wrote it when with his previous band Smile; prior to even meeting Freddie let alone Queen being formed.
Freddie was a one of kind artist and performer. I was fortunate to have seen Queen twice in 1977 and 1978, those shows were among my top five concerts of my lifetime. The band was phenomenal as well but Freddie was a showman extrodinaire . R.I.P. Freddie Mercury…
Instead of being sad we need to celebrate his achievement and legacy - i was growing up in the uk in the 1970's and you are right weren't we lucky!!! This song was written by Brian May - Freddy did a corresponding song Black Queen which you should try if you haven't already. Also there is a video of a Green Day audience singing Bohemian Rhapsody en masse at the Hyde park Festival , if you haven't seen that it will bring a tear to your eye but make you very happy at the same time. On a happier note not everyone died young, the Rolling stones aged 80 just released a new album and are incorrigable , the last Beatles song has just been released and Paul McCartney is touring in Australia and Brazil in his 80's and Jimmy Page just celebrated his 80th and popped up on stage playing double neck guitar inducting Link Wray into the rock and roll hall of fame. Dave Gilmore and Mark Knopfler appear to be immortal. It has been a good year for music . We are so lucky that it is so easy to explore music with the internet now . More led zeppelin please - you have only touched the surface...
This live version is one of my favourites ….. whilst studio versions are always great, personally prefer live - the passion and intensity is always amazing !
This performance is hauntingly magical in every single way!! I get Tolkien vibes ie, Lord Of The Rings! 🧝🏻♀️ Brian May penned this beauty inspired by the crush he had on a girl in his college Biology class. He admired from afar until it was too late. Brian admitted later that they became good friends. He also drew inspiration after reading The White Goddess. 📖
One of my regrets is not seeing Queen perform live. I had the 1st and 2nd albums when I was in high school in the mid 70s. So many unique sounding bands at that time, but they were probably the most unique of all! ✌️❤️🔥
I was very fortunate to see Queen several times in the 70's. their performances were always incredible. I would encourage you to listen to a few other Queen songs: 1) Killer Queen (their first big hit), 2) Lilly of the Valley (a very short song that is one of their most beautiful songs) and 3) The Millionaire Waltz. These are older Queen songs that really showcase their abilities. Thanks!
Saw Queen in the 70s many times. My second favorite band behind Zeppelin and I feel privileged to have seen them at that time. The band changed a lot in the 1980s and of course became huge but I will always love the early days of Queen, best live shows ever as well!
You spoke so beautifully in the break, wonderful things you’ve complimented Fred & the band on, it’s so appreciated ❤ Greetings from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦
Queen has over 200 songs in their catalog. Have you heard Under Pressure, the 6 minute version at Wembley is amazing. Also the Live Aid concert is super.
Por favor sigan reaccionando a Freddie y queen! Es un camino largo y sin regreso, muchas gemas ocultas! Infaltables: one vision, you take my breath away ojalá en vivo , mother love, winters tale, cool cat, my melancholy blues, days of our lives, innuendo, the great pretender, living on my own, con mosnterrat tienen también Barcelona, golden boy, how can i go On , the japoinase, guide me home y bueno… muchos más!! ❤❤
Freddie was a formidable force that's for sure. I hope you react to "Cool Cat" so different but great. Another one I can recommend is by George Michael, Praying For Time.
Just FYI Guys, There’s another version of this video on YT where the audio mix/balance is “adjusted” so that you can hear Freddie’s piano playing MUCH BETTER than you can here. (I just mentioned because you said you liked Freddie’s piano playing.)
Finally I've given deep attention to this track. Still . . . can't get the message. Love the piano, guitar, bass (wow) Freddie and my, my the drums. Guess the instrumentals drive this wonderfulness for me...along w/Freddie.
SUGGESTIONS…. Guys, I can GUARANTEE that you have NOT heard any of these three song titles, because they weren’t released on the radio (I don’t think, anyway?) and they are ONLY on-video being played at THIS concert: MILTON KEYNES BOWL in 1982 The three songs are: “ACTION THIS DAY” “STAYING POWER” and “BACK CHAT” ANY of these songs from this 1982 Milton Keynes concert are FANTASTIC… and this is also the show where Freddie is absolutely at the TOP, vocally!
Excellent choice, not very well known song. Not a hit single. There's another song I think you should check out by them. It's called My Melancholy Blues. Excellent reaction, looking forward to what you think of it.
A good thing about queen is how different live and studio versions always were! I think it would be pretty amazing if they listen to the studio version and a live version in the same video!
that or live from the rainbow is pretty good , i think for this they chose a lower quality video instead of the one from queen official for copyright reasons i guess

@@MusiCatsKing of course I’m referring to this performance which is 50 years old is it not? I think you knew exactly what I meant and said 🤷♀️
White Queen is a hidden gem and nother one is Save Me, also written by Brian May. Pls, check out the Montreal 81. version.
thank you! my favorite song! you really get to witness Freddie's talents!

This is the greatest hidden gems in the Queen catalog and a song that shows off Freddie's insane piano skill.

Seven seas of Rhye is a fun one to watch Freddie play Live. His hand moves so fast on the piano that it blurs
His intro on this one is the best. 😂😂
An amazing performance.

So versatile, you never know what's coming. How about Get Down Make Love.

Hard rock e progressive rock
great perfomance even when the piano is out of tune:)
I love you guys but for first listens to early queen I would suggest the studio version
