  • This is a note for note solo cover of John Mayer's "Last Train Home (Ballad Version)". Apparently this performance was the first take the band played. I can assure you this was not my first take!
    There are some really cool licks in this solo that are worth stealing and adding to your bag. Enjoy!

    The only accurate fucking cover. For over a year and a half I was looking for one where someone got it right, and then I gave up July 2022. I now find this, and holy fuck man. Finally.
    Thank you so much

      I'm just using the PRS Silversky SE into my MacBook via an Audient iD4. I'm was using the stock GarageBand amp sims. This one is probably the Fender Blackpanel model. I'm currently using the ToneKing Imperial MKII DSP plugin and am enjoying that much more than the GarageBand sims. Thanks for watching!

    How long do you think it would take for me to learn this if I never played guitar

    • @stevecarereguitar
      @stevecarereguitar  Год назад +1

      Oh man, tough question! Depends how much you are practicing and if this is the only thing you play. You could probably get the notes under your fingers relatively quickly. But to get it to sound smooth and natural it would probably take some years. And even more years to know why the notes he is playing work with the chords that are behind him.

    • @ramacanda
      @ramacanda 7 месяцев назад

      @@stevecarereguitar Yeah thats a good answer. I would guess to play relatively smoothly it would take you around 2-3 years of consistent practice (couple hours a day), but there is no exact way of knowing.
