    MSR had a good thing going with their red and white schemes, I love my Access 2 but I don't use it often these days thanks to the Nemo Kunai. I'm not a fan of this brown and red combo. Great video Justin

      I've had this one in some big rain and a few other 1200-1500 tents and it's never been a problem. I can see low HH being an issue on tent like the S2S Telos with a super flat roof (it's 2500mm, so we'll see).

      Honestly, I can't say I have ever had a problem with tents in that HH range as well. But for the price of the tent, I would like to see that rating up a bit more.....but that would mean more weight and or money.

    Lack of livability in MSR tents (not this one)???? Price and weight I agree, but internal space was always excellent on MSRs.

    • @GearPriority
      @GearPriority  2 года назад

      The severely sloped ends on the old Freelite and old and new Hubba Hubba all make for pretty bad livability. On previous MSR tents, I'd often have mesh on my face if using a thick sleeping pad and a pillow.

    Does the door situation allowing g water in during a rain or if the door is wet a nothing issue. 400 dollars for a tent that dose t keep the rain out seems like a waste of money or am I missing something. Try to avoid being in the rain but so this may never occur but if it did. I'm trying to decide if I should return it or not

      @callmeasshole 2 года назад

      @@GearPriority I bought the large initially for my 21" torso length but found that it was actually too long, so I switched to the medium which fixed the hip belt position issue but in both bags I find that the upper back of the pack digs into my shoulders in a pretty uncomfortable way. This isn't noticeable on level ground but as I'm climbing or doing anything where the pack tends to shift it's essentially stiff nylon over metal digging in and almost touching bone. Alternatively, my Paragon 48 which is my favorite pack and very similar to the Focal, except in it's suspension and back system, does not have this problem. Otherwise, I love the pack for what Gregory has tried to do in bridging the ultralight and traditional pack gap and it looks amazing. The first pack I've received complements on the trail with. I just wish there was somehow adjustability in the torso length and the frame could have been bent inward towards the pack at the top, similar to what my Paragon does. It's not a consistent arc. I eagerly await your review!
