I like the portability and without having to find a power source; however, this device immediately eliminated those potential customers with a Storm Door as the IR light will get bad reflection at night by the storm door glass, assuming the storm door door frame does not block the view of the camera...

Apparently the first DoorCam version wasn't that great. I don't live in the best neighborhood and my landlord isn't allowing drilling/screwing in a Ring product so ideally this would be perfect for me. A bit disappointed in this video since this "review" (more of an unboxing, nice title) didn't go through more technical aspects or actually test features like feed quality or motion detection.

You can buy rechargeable D size batteries to use in it. I believe you can also connect a mini usb cord to it.

@@bruiz5240 technically the ring door bell and the doorbell boa are 2 separate things from 2 different companies, but thats like 110 dollars vs 200 dollars. Best of luck!

What good is this if it won't wake you up in the middle of the night when there is an intruder? Of course that is not an issue when you are home. But you'd want to be awakened when you are NOT at home.
