As a Greek person from Thessaloniki, I can reassure you that it is really hard to find affordable Japanese food that actually tastes good . I’ve spent so much money on food marketed as “Japanese food" that turned out to taste like shit . For me,by far the best Japanese food I have be ever tried in Greece was from a Asian cantine in Corfu which had the most affordable Asian food that I ‘ve ever tried and they were actually maybe by a Japanese cook . The problem with restaurants that sell Asian food in Greece is that they are very westernised which leads to some unfortunate results such as high prices and food that taste badly.

You should eat sushi in other places in Italy, maybe where there's the sea. I don't think it's like Japanese sushi but in sardinia I feel like you'll like it more. Fish is fresh like all the time, unless sometimes when you buy it from big supermarkets.

I’m Italian and I live in Turin… When I saw that restaurant in Milan and what did you eat I literally cried… And what about that price?!?! NO!!! They have only a name and they’re in Milan. Stop. But fortunately I have to say that this is not the case in all of Italy!!! I have eaten so many Japanese cuisine here in my country and I found so many good places (Usually not well-known places, coz they’re the best and all the “coolest” places are always just overrated and sometimes they don’t have Japanese cuisine, but Fusion or contaminated Asian mix!), but I have a rare pearl… Near the little town I live there’s a very little restaurant (Really very underrated and I would say almost shunned by people) where you can have an entire meal with only few euros (40€ all you can eat for two people with drinks, fruits and sweets and easily get out of there on all fours rolling like a pig!!!) and they have a Japanese chef that is amazing!!! And the food is always fresh and you can have REAL Japanese food, the taste is fantastic and you can literally eat every Japanese meal you want!!! I can say that it is the place where I have eaten more similar to how I have always eaten in Japan and and even with the most similar atmosphere, where everything is simple and everything appears normal, not as if you were eating in a place where they do "foreign cuisine”!!! I love that place and it takes me back to Japan a bit!!! At the end I’m glad here in Europe you found some good Japanese food!!! At least you’re near the sea, so I think fresh fish is not a problem anymore!!! Greece is wonderful!!! I love you and your contents so much!!! 🖤
