Thanks for this video. This feels very intuitive for me.
Larry, may I ask what mic was used for the recording and how far? I find frame drums to be very challenging to record. And I'm pleasantly surprised at the sound of this Meinl frame drum.
Hello Larry,
Good video ... as always.
Is it a 20" synthetic head tar? FD20T-TF?
Thank you!
That is the 20" synthetic, and the correct part number as well. Thanks for watching.
Could anyone inform me as to the difference between this and a bendir? I saw that Meinl sell both, and they seem and sound fairly similar. Thank you in advance!
They are very similar but the main difference is that the Bendir has strings behind the head that rattle when you play. The biggest Bendir we sell is 16" in diameter and 2 1/2" deep. The smallest is 12" x 4". Tars come in more different sizes and also different types of heads. More info in our website www,meinlpercussion.com THANKS!
i am depressed, when i see first 20 sec and i cant even hit dum ...
Its called Daf not Tar
A Daf has jingles. Tar does not.
