Howdy! Thanks for the shout-out. Loved the vid. Never thought of calling Bosmers "goobers" before, but geeze that's such a great insult. I'm stealing it.
Also, I blame Fargoth.
I think Fargoth was responsible for every wrong in Tamriel. Even the bugs
I blame Buddy “Syndrome” Pine.

Coming close to the 20th year anniversary of diving rock 🎉🎉
I decided to take the fan with me the first time I met him to see how things go. He disappears shortly after and I have no idea where he went. Then he randomly spawns in front of me many hours later as I go through a door in a ship out in the middle of the sea only for me to accidentally kill him from attacking what I thought was a pirate enemy as soon as I went through the door; and that's how I ended up starting the dark brotherhood quest ahead of my planned time.
Pirate's Isles, Blackthorn, or a different pirate mod?
Pirate's Isles was always my favorite, even if it was never finished.
Edit: I just remembered the Bloated Float quest in the base game, lol. So, not a mod neccessarily. How I forget that quest that I usually beeline for to get that sweet buffed leather armor I'll never know.
@@passingrando6457 it was the ingame quest.

And now he's in Starfield. We're all fucking doomed.

Thats a good thing tho, another punching bag for another adventure
He's so good in starfield. I love him even more there
Inter-dimensional fan
He has been reincarnated. The afterlife couldn't stand him anymore and sent him back.
He lived long enough to see the death of every other character in TES and make it to space. Strongest TES character confirmed.
The Adoring Fan survived Landfall and will remain far beyond the 5th Era. The true c0da was always The Adoring Fan. The Amaranth. The Godhead.
Adoring Fan is Anu, confirmed. Constantly reborn in different times.
Adoring Fan achived Chim confirmed
I find it absolutely hilarious that the only way to get rid of the adoring fan without editing the game files is to straight up trap him in the equivalent of Hell to be tortured for all of eternity
Note to self trap the Adoring Fan in Oblivion let him annoy Dagon forever.
I tried leaving him in Oblivion, but unfortunately he spawns next to you after you close the gate. Apparently they don't want him either
@@willlewis6622 ahahaha imagine Dagon... "I have the power to send one more outside the gates..." and then he struggles and collapses, sending the fan out lol

The Adoring Fan is like the Morshu of TES:
- Very little effect on the plot
- Few lines of dialogue
- Extremely meme-worthy
- Green pants
- Memes as far back as the 2000s
I love him. He's just a silly little guy, an absolute gremlin creature of a person, a complete joke of a character. Adds a nice bit of light-heartedness to the game, even if it didn't need it. He's the equivalent of a nice glass of water in the middle of the night, loved, but you could have just waited until morning and not experienced it and you'd be perfectly fine.
No
Don't listen to Chadwick here, he just hasn't ascended smh
A lovely little allusion you made there
That classic video of hitting the Adoring Fan from the highest mountain will always remain close to our hearts.
It’s like a right of passage for any Oblivion fan to at least try it once.

He's back in Starfield too, and can actually be set to do tasks. My gut tells me he abandons any task assigned within 3 days to come back and annoy the player, begging them to let him join them again.
Here from the future, hes the goofiest npc in starfield. You could commit the most heinous crimes possible, and hes still willing to suck you off.

I figure the Cisero note about him luring a champion into the forest to off him, is a reference to how players lure The Adoring Fan out into nowhere so they can do the same thing.
This character just appear on the starfield direct xD
The second time you meet The Adoring Admirer he's actually been turned into a vampire and is also blind (as a cosmetic option it's called "Prophet Eyes"). Kid goes through some shit, it's hard not to feel bad for him. Yeah, it's technically his fault but still.
Todd, PLEASE let The Adoring Fan have more dialog in Starfield.
He does, for some reason.
The Adoring Fan is like the Tom Bombadil of the elder scrolls universe. Completely inexplicable, seemingly immortal, always cheerful.
Aw, as a Tom Bombadil fan, now I wish the Adoring Fan sang merrily as he followed us around.

And now he's back in Starfield. Dear lord lmao
And thus, he now intergrated into Starfield...

By Ysmir….i fear to visit Starfield….
I remember I was in a cave and he had apparently spawned back in and he came running at me in the dark without his torch and I instantly casted a shock spell and killed him by accident. Still remember that to this day :)
hahaha
a suggestion in much the same vein as the Adoring Fan: Mud from the game Gothic.
he's this guy you meet in the old camp while just walking around, who ,immediately when he spots you, traps you in a conversation trying to get a chance to help you out by following you around. But much like the Adoring fan, he's incredibly weak and constantly runs away from everything.
personality wise, he's this pathetic dude, that is just really desparate for a friend, so he seeks out the player for that very purpose. Although it's not very surprising many people either avoid him outright, or get him killed somehow later (unlike the Fan, Mud doesn't resurrect, except for one time I'll get to later) as he's also a heavily implied zoophile and generally just incredibly annoying to deal with.
He obviously achieved meme status almost immediately. look up any piece of Gothic content, be it a video, fan comic, fan fic, anything and you'll see Mud in one way or another. Most often as a companion for the main character. There are also the mods. the one that comes to mind first for me is Mud-ball, where you're dropped in a sort of golf course and Mud is your golf ball.
Now, about the resurrection. When the work on Gothic's sequel began, it was actually supposed to be a simple expansion for the first game. taking place a couple weeks after and showing the aftermath of your actions. The intro for Gothic 2 is actually a holdover from this expansion, where there are many things shown that do not exactly align with what actually happens in game. For example, you appear in Xardas' old tower with a different room layout, your starting outfit is new, as it retains the harnesses from your endgame armor and, Mud is crushed by falling debris in the Old Camp. None of this happens in the final game. You first appear in Xardas' new tower, your outfit is basically the same as your old, and, while Mud is nowhere to be seen, the tower itself is still intact. But! In the expansion, he was supposed to come back as a zombie. Presumably appearing somewhere around the rubble of the Old camp's tower.
I’ve always compared him to Mud too lol. Except Mud is much more annoying.
He's coming back!
And now he has returned in Starfield
“I need to have every. Molecule.”
HES BACK IN STARFIELD MY GOAT 😤😤😤😤

No matter what I play, whether it's a fisticuffs master with heavy armor or a fisticuffs master with light armor, my journey always starts at the same place. In the prison like everybody else. But after I escape I go right to the arena.
I'm so fucking happy I found this channel.
I wasn't even the hugest elder scrolls fan but this shit is incredible and I've gotten back into Morrowind and will play oblivion next.
I started getting into Bethesda games with Oblivion. Ghost has convinced me to give Morrowind a real go. I played it a couple times as a kid at a friend's house & never touched it again.
How was it?
I miss the Morrowind beast races
Got to love that they’ve bought the adoring fan back for starfield
He's back! He achieved CHIM and left the Aurbis. Now 17 later he found his way into Bethesda's latest game, Starfield. Not even multiple generation gaps can stop him from adoring you!
And soon, hes gonna leave space to return to Tamriel in TES6
Can't wait for Starfield to continue the blood sport.

Honestly, Amalur has the best writing I’ve seen in an RPG to really reflect the state of the world, factions, and your achievements. Superbly done.
thats interesting, i may need to give it another try instead of judging it by its appearance.
Based take. It is admittedly shallow in its presentation. Been running through it again, I kind of remember why it took me so long to beat it the first time
Pretty decent game I’m at the home stretch of the end game but it doesn’t draw me in gameplay wise to go back in once I put it down unlike tes but still good game.
on that note, id love to see an npcpedia on agarth. get some real insight into this alcoholic fortuneteller.

Hey..
Would you kindly stand at the Ledge of that cliff for me,

I want more TES npcs 😭😭 especially from before Skyrim
They're so fascinating
Hopefully Starfield keeps his respawning abilities
I would use a courage spell on The Adoring Fan to get to fight for me & killed all the pirates on the boat quest.
Weird personal headcanon/theory, but it feels to me as though the Adoring Fan might be one of Sheogorath's shenanigans. Ol' Sheo has a tendency of basically shitposting when he gets bored, and the idea of cursing the Arena Champion with an adoring fan that they can't entirely get rid of or even kill and showers them with toxic positivity is exactly the kind of thing one might expect of him.
Sometimes I wonder how the Adoring Fan canonically ended up years later. Not hundreds of years, obviously he'd be dead by then. More like anywhere between 2-10 years, maybe even a few more decades. Did he grow disillusioned after spending time with his hero? Did he become a Syndrome type character and go full supervillain? Or did he continue to remain a super fan for his whole life?
The Adoring Fan will return in Starfield
I remember thinking that owning that shack in the outskirts of the imperial city was the best thing ever
Starfield Adoring Fan video when?
I wish he could follow the Champion of Cyrodiil into the Shivering Isles...
If you cheat him in there, whenever you try talking to him he just says 'I HAVE NO GREETING' or something like that. Also, no voice lines for it, just text.
By the Azura! by the Azura! By the Azura! It's the god of madness himself!
i’m so glad you put star as the ending song i was hoping to hear it the whole time
The adoring fan always reminds me of that one guy in gothic
Only that the adoring fan is actually kinda funny and that guy in gothic is straight up annoying you until you're kinda forced to hit him
Oh god. Mud, isn't he? I remember trying to bump him off the edge of the river to drown him in the fall. For some weird reason I have the memory of him being immortal too, because for some reason I couldn't kill him normally, but I also seem to recall managing to do just that in the end with a sword. I can still hear his annoying little voice grating in my ears.
4:33 absolutely losing it over Agronak's training regimen
Canonically, in my playthroughs? He ends up walled up in the ghost house in Anvil. After donning the mantle of "the Mad God" the Hero of Kvatch never got around to mortal matters again, having touched the insanity. The fan was left locked in that cellar.
Also for the record, I wholly believe there is no Jygallag. It's entirely a fiction created by Sheogorath merely from boredom and wants to see if the person who can take on Mehrunes Dagon is infallible. His realm is a fiction designed to embody madness and loss of self idenity. You aren't Sheogorath. There was no battle. You exit that plane with no power except calling a daedra. Which any novice can do... You only have that god power when you retreat into the Isles. Like a fantasy... So essentially the Hero of Kvatch went mad.
When I see the lore videos on the Shivering Isles, I chuckle that ol' uncle Sheogorath pulled a fast one.
Nice putting in "star" at the end there haha
That orc kicked my ass the first time i tried to fight him without breaking hopes and dreams
Worlds greatest fan spending 1000 years in oblivion to be the next main antagonist in Skyrim six
This dude was a really good friend to me with his six lines. I wasnt as scared in the dungeons, I wasnt as lonely. Once he died and i dragged his corpse into the yard of my castle, took some flowers and made him a funeral. His body soon disappeared and I was mad, only to see him respawned and running down the hill to follow me once again :D
You say he ALMOST never engages a fight...WHEN does he actually fight? Never seen that!
Less than a second of footage, 10 years later, and I still know an Eve ship when I see it.
I'm loving these npc videos because of how thorough they are. Good job keep it up
Starfield is going to have a trait where an "annoying fan" will show up randomly to bug you at any point in time. Just imagine you're on some desolate moon in the far flung reaches of outer space and hear "BY AZURA, BY AZURA, BY AZURA!!"
It’s funny how you actually comment a month before the showcase of Starfield and that is exactly what happened as he is coming back
I love how the only way to get rid of him without mods or console commands is to litterally, in game and in lore, damn him to Oblivion
12:46 I think you can reverse it by pressing ~ to open the console, typing "prid aed41" and after pressing enter typing "moveto player" and hitting enter.
I remember swearing to God he was named annoying fan so funny now realizing I was wrong after all these years
hell yeah, thanks for bringing up the old youtube videos. i was obsessed with those as a kid
Now he's infiltrated Starfield
I discovered your channel a few days ago and man, I'm obsessed with your videos. I've been doing whole marathons of them. I also made a little altar at my bedroom where I put pieces of paper with quotes from your videos written on them. I'm working on getting your address so I can offer my fervient suppor on anything you want. Maybe I can do all your chores, clean your house, cook for you, so you can focus all your time on your videos.
Anyways, I love this channel. That's the main message
the idea of the adoring fan irritating the champion of cyrodil to the point where the champion decides to leave him in the deadlands is god damned hilarious to me.
1:03 "how on earth could a character with only 6 lines of dialogue..."
Morshu: hold my rupees
I grew to like him and would have him wait outside dungeons to stay safe
These videos definitely deserve more love, absolute masterpieces.
He’s a curse on the player for slaying a defenseless depressed Agronak Gro’Malog.
I used to think you were a hero, a holy knight and all that. I guess I should have known better.
_"After all, I am your biggest fan."_
He’ll be back soon in Starfield
In the earliest days of RUclips there are two videos I remember seeing before I knew anything about Bethesda games. Adoring fan at dive rock, and a video about the explosion collars going off in the Sierra Madre in new Vegas. Not even knowing I was watching videos from what would someday become two of my favorite/most played game series.
He's still not as annoying as Nazeem. At least the Adoring Fan is a happy little shit and doesn't spend his 6 lines of dialogue telling you he climbs the city's stairs more times a day than you do.
6:16 damn, that actually hurt since I can relate

It makes me really happy that you included sending the Adoring Fan to Oblivion forever.
It's cruel for sure, but also kind of hilarious.
I’ve left him in the basement of my character’s house since 2011.
Fun fact: The VA for the Adoring Fan and a lot of male elf voicelines in Oblivion acknowledged the cult of killing the Adoring Fan and the Young Scrolls song STAR (which plays at the end of this video) in an interview here on YT

First time I saw this NPC I also saw Lucian Lachance for the first time.
If you use a courage spell on him he will actually fight. And he’s pretty good with hand to hand combat, doesn’t even pull out the dagger. He even beat a dremora to death before a deadroth eviscerated him the last time I had him in my party (I would collect npcs for a small party)
he can also go into the painting and as long as he does not die by painted trolls you can leave him there
I remember somewhere seeing that you can disappoint the adoring fan so he stops following you willingly and it's the most heartbreaking thing I've seen. I was hoping it would've been this video, but no...
