@@ZReviews Hate stuff sticking that far out of USB ports one bad move and port is shot. Dongle + cable is better design. And thick cables going out of that are heavy ect so ez to mess it up. Still good video
Second that. I just got a WA7 and even with the volume cranked to max it doesn’t get loud enough. A preamp would be sweet, but my source is my phone so not sure how that would work without something like the Phantom or a Moondrop and now I’m up to a price point where I wonder why I got the WA7 in the first place.
for this I'd probably use a USB extension rather than have it go straight into the device kuz that boyo there is gonna destroy USB ports when it inevitably gets yanked on or the cables get pulled.
Seems pretty long with thick attached cables before they kink. IMHO a pretty long leverage that could put a strain on a USB port. I really don’t get the appeal of using it with a laptop with USB ports on the side. Perhaps if the connector is angled.
Couldn’t you use a usb extension cable to get more length as opposed to spending $100 per meter of analog cable. There would only be digital on the USB extension anyway.
This has always been possible with the Dragonfly Red, just turn the volume up full which actually switches off the amp allowing you to just use the dac. You can then 3.5mm out into anything you want & it's cheaper...
congratulations on getting the largest distortion possible. I guess if you can't hear that, then it actually serves you well, and saved you the extra money for upgrade
@@junkuqi7948 You have obviously never used a dragonfly red, there is no noticeable distortion at all. You do obviously represent the company that manufactures the Woo Phantom...
Interesting product, but I am personally not a fan of buying things that have too short of a measurable usable lifespan. Cables all eventually wear out, because they move - and wire fatigue is a thing. If there is no easy way to unplug a cable that went bad, and plug in a new cable, then it's a nope for me. That's my personal take on this one. The cable should always be detachable from the primary unit imo.
Not many that are similar. Closed back with Huge Soundstage in that price range the only that comes to mind is the MMX300 amzn.to/40IpwMM with a Dekoni pad swap
Pure Theft, always surprised what these companies are willing to do to milk you out of your hard earn cash. Also Zeos bro, stop selling this shit to your viewers. Maybe implement some measures as well
My only worry about Rebel Amp (and Flux Labs) is, aren't they in Ukraine? With the war isn't it risky to send your money into a war zone, and expect to get something back? And what about warranty support? Or if it gets damaged in shipping. I'm not trying to say that they aren't honest but lets face it.... theres a war on and......shit happens. On another note, I didn't think class A amps used op amps. Aren't they discrete?
Closed captioning translated your name to "CEOs Pantera". Which is so very METAL!
$400 for essentially a dongle + cables permanently attached lol
As a non-bias reviewer I definitely did show you a Donble + Cables as a comparison.

@@lordzed83 they should include a short extension cable in the box. Would immediately fix that problem.
I'm doing a similar setup but instead of a 400€ DAC with a fixed cable I'm using a Moondrop dawn with a 4.4 to XLR adapter for 1/5 of the price
Ever heard of Halide...they made the Devilsound NOS DAC and DAC HD. This looks very similar to Woo Phantom DAC. Very cool.
I wish woo made a dedicated pre amp that looks like a bigger wa7 glass and all 🤤

the PHANTOM DAC cable pairs well with THX headphone amps.

Yeah I had asked Jack why not just a USB-C female and different jumpers but apparently they aren't as reliable?
Hey, I've used that wallpaper before. The Chocolate bunny goddess Karin from Blue Archive. Great choice Z
Oh on the laptop. OK. That is a slideshow of previous wallpapers.
Always been using my E1DA 9038d to a Schiit amp
Is that the Interstate 76 soundtrack on that device on the left? I loved that game!
Badass OST!
100% is. and I ripped those from the OG game CD back in the day. Then Got FLAC extras later.
@@ZReviews sweet, I should play that again

sounds like the kinda thing a company who makes a 1400 dollar 1.2 watt transportable without bluetooth would make lmao

Me: "It's got to be at least $200"
// checks website

Thank god you said "at least"

DACS not here 😂
my belly hurtin
Apple dongle>3.5mm to RCA cable>amp>done
thats fascinating
wtf
this is fascinating
This is book example of ripp off pricing dongle dac with cable for 400 ??
Yea so, BTR3K, cable of choice, sufficient for mind blowing a new comer.
*Coomer
Helm BOLT, Moonriver2 etc etc - it's so easy to end up with a drawer full of these things, but 400usd ? Yikes.
Peachtree GAN-1. Power amplifier with no analog inputs.
Pass 😂
That is it I am selling my MSB premier.
Insane. Instead of buying a say...700$ amp you can just buy an 1100$ dac/amp combo. Now you have no weird thicc wire and 1 box.
400$ for a fixed cable DAC with short cables ?
lol no thanks.
they taking a piss mate
Do you still recommend the Modhouse T60RP Argons? Are there other you recommend that are similar?

I mean I treat is as it should be . A relatively unique product from a small US based manufacturer.

They moved the manufacture out to a more stable area.
@@ZReviews Thanks for the info Z.
