I'm pretty sure you've already watched it. The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, Stay Out of the Basement, Welcome to Dead House, A Night in Terror Tower, The Girl Who Cried Monster, Be Careful What You Wish For and Welcome to Camp Nightmare. Those are some good ones.
@@TheMikeLawz Yes, bride of the living dummy is my favorite for the campiness and scariness, even with the twist ending. Slappy would be cancelled so hard today for what his motive would be in that episode.
Unfortunately I don't think they ever adapted the first night of the living Dummy book. My confused child self was always looking up "Night of the living Dummy 1 goosebumps episode" since i couldn't understand that there was a part 2 but no part 1 lil
I’ve watched this episode so many times as a kid. It always stuck with me. The thought of a mask never coming off and becoming your face. It’s truly terrifying. Revisiting it now. The old man’s story is very tragic. He hated his face so he created new ones to make himself feel better. But they eventually rotted into the faces of ugly creatures. Because what he truly hated was himself, not just his face. And no mask could hide that forever. That’s why the faces were so desperate to be loved. It’s like a monster he created with his own self loathing. But deep down he just wanted to be loved. So that’s what the faces craved.
This was the first episode of goosebumps to air in TV. And although i love it, they didnt do the book justice. The mask was a metaphor for the aging process and how you become increasingly more hideous over time.. That's why the owner of the shop had so many masks. He was trying to remedy his aging body in desperation. He knew that he was physically falling apart and he wanted to save himself. There's also an eating disorder metaphor to be found. Slowly destroying your body in an attempt to be perfect.
It's also based on what happened to R.L Stine's son during Halloween. He had a mask that got stuck on his face once. This gave him the idea for creating The Haunted Mask.
I have grown up with this great series. I am one of the lucky ones who lived through the 90s, the best years and decades. For me, one of the best times and one of the best series. I love the series from the 90s. I miss that time and have very good memories. I have all the "Goosebumps" books
I remember watching Goosebumps on cable, lol. I even read the books. My favorites were The Curse Of The Mummy's Tomb, Phantom of the Auditorium, and The Werewolf of Fever Swamp.
Welcome to my favorite show of all time lol. Your facial expressions are great and funny. My favorite I still Night Of The Living Dummy. This show is based on the books of the same name and targeted for kids. Yes,you heard me lol.
yaaaaaaas this review was everything! I loooooved Goosebumps as a 90s baby. the nostalgia is killing me! the part where the masks begin to float really creeped me out as a kid. this was great gateway horror and still is! some of the episodes and books REALLY get dark! I remember on twitch we were recommending The Haunted Mask. the fans win again lol
Them kids were so mean to Carly Beth like there was no need to put a worm in her sandwich and their excuse cause they like her like what😂. I even love the concept of a haunted mask that attaches to your skin becoming your true face is very creative and horrific.
The actress actually was the one who insisted they put the worm ( a real life one) during behind the scenes. And so,they did. I think if was said it was a lot t of fun to do or something like that.
@@commandixnostalgia2321 yeah ik about that which props to her but me personally I wouldn’t do that but it made the episode better when showing just how awful the boys were to her.
I unfortunately was born in the middle of the 90s and I was more of an early 2000s kid. But my sister was born in 91 and she remembers when this episode aired and she also used to watch goosebumps and she also used to make my mom read her all the books. And she told me when she first watched this episode that it was very freaky, and she even said that she one time had nightmares of the mask itself. Like she had nightmares of the mask floating around in her room and it would like try to eat her. And she also one time woke up my parents screaming. So when she told me that story I was like damn I gotta check this out. So I ended up getting a copy on VHS and I watched it and I went up to my sister after watching it and I told her now I understand why it gave you nightmares because Not only was scary but it was a pretty good episode.
Eerie Indiana was a fun show that came out around the same time when scary tv shows for kids were a big thing. The first episode of that show will forever bother me lol.
Omg how have you went so many years without watching the goosebump series MIKE ! 😂 literal masterpiece and any books I could get I had loved goosebumps as a kid
In the OG/alternative ending, the music that played when her little brother wore that mask was scarier. But kids or people found it way too scary for kids, so they changed the music. You should watch it's Part 2 as well. React to Goosebumps movies as well. I didn't like how they changed Slappy though. It is like Billy from 'Dead Silence' now..
You have to watch “Masters Of Horror” series from the 90’s. There are some crazy eps from classic horror directors like “Cigarette Burns” from John Carpenter & “Jenifer” from Dario Argento 🎥🍿🎬👹
Some of the other episodes are just as weird not really scary but weird you should def so more reactions to this or the haunting hour is also like this
Mike it’d be so cool if you reacted to “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” !!! That show did a good job at scaring me when i was younger. I think you’d like it.
Hope you react to the other goosebumps also the other tv series The Haunting Hour is good . I love the episode The Red Dress something like that. Always love your reactions 🙏❤️🙂
The worst fucking episode was the spider guy - I don’t even remember the freaking name.. but it scared the shit out of me and I had nightmares for days about that episode
*Please react to 1999 Christina's House* underrated 90's gem and the you'll be guessing who the killer is until the very end! Shitty cop and icon 90's wear !! It as a goosebumps feel and if no one has suggested this please add 2007 Kristen Stewarts *The Messengers* still a 2000's classic❤!
What is the BEST Goosebumps episode that I NEED to watch?
I'm pretty sure you've already watched it.
The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, Stay Out of the Basement, Welcome to Dead House, A Night in Terror Tower, The Girl Who Cried Monster, Be Careful What You Wish For and Welcome to Camp Nightmare. Those are some good ones.

Night of the living dummy #1 and 2. They were a staple in my childhood and slappy is an iconic character. Rewatched that movie many times.

This, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and So Weird were the best supernatural/kids-horror shows back in the day.
