I bet this is a hoot around the back roads! What a little gem of a car! I think this has aged really well considering car design has moved on a lot since 2003. 👍🏻👌🏻
Great to see it back on the road and being enjoyed! The wheel centre caps can be refurbed apparently, although I've yet to try it myself. Take them back down to plastic, then re-coat with adhesive aluminium foil and a Honda badge sticker which is available as a non-genuine item but looks the part. All covered on the S2000 UK Facebook group, which I'd recommend if you're not already a member. There's a roof fitter that's well known in the community that can be found in Swansea, by far the most competitive prices and uses recycled official Honda glass from old roofs - something you won't tend to get even with the more expensive kits!
Jack Smith is the name of the roof fitter. This car in actual fact looks as if it was originally registered in Swansea at Bassett's Honda back in 2003/4.
Such a fantastic sports car. I'm glad to see yours out on the road being enjoyed with the top down - as it should be. Though I'm truly looking forward to more reports involving your S2k in the future, more than anything I simply hope that you get the chance to enjoy it as often as possible.
It does take a few quid to keep them tip-top, I have an e30 m3 convertible and have spent a fortune on it over the last 20 years even fitted a new hood myself which was an experience I dare you to have a go at fitting a new one to the Honda lol
What do you think of the M3 ? I’ve got an E30 325i manual (M-Tech 2) Cabriolet. I love it and won’t be selling if, the straight 6 is sonorous, but ultimately I will be trying to justify an E30 M3 in the next few years.
@@abath3493 it has broke my heart many times over the years but I love it more than any of my past girlfriends, it gets a lot of attention whenever it take it out for a drive
I remember many years ago when making enquiries about a hard top, Honda said they would need my chassis number as tolerances varied throughout the production period of the car.
Great choice on the tyres! What a coincidence as I'm just about to replace my discontinued Yokohamas Ad08r and Toyo Proxes R1R and due to the limited choice in 16" tyres which i prefer, the best i could narrow it down to after so much research was the Yokohama Advan Sports which you've fitted. It's reassuring to know I'm making the right choice! Same year and colour my S2000 btw. Keep the updates coming!😊
I keep my Lexus Sc430 out all year, is it really worth hibernating a modern car during the winter or does it usually cause more problems than it avoids?
My center caps didn't had that H logo. The metal film has some bubbles and i peel off that foil and painted the plastic silver. Looking like new but no logo
Why on earth would you want a hard top. I have a soft top 2021 MX5, which has just replaced a 2014 one I had from new. A hard top means you will miss some great top-down days!
Glad to see that you are enjoying it as you should!
Biggest automotive regret of mine was selling my ‘99 S2000. I did almost 140k km’s in it and it was as tight then as the day I bought it.

Still looks modern in many ways!

Thanks for the tips, Zach! Stay tuned to see the Honda improved further...

Great to see the S2000 again, looks like it getting more love now. Is the Audi TT still around?
It is indeed! Expect the return of the Audi quite soon!

Agreed!
@@ClassicsWorldUK It’s snowing here in the US, so the S2000 goes into hibernation!

Great car
that engine bay is the worst one I've ever seen.
