Oh my goodness…the memories this brings back!! My mama would make this for us some Sundays over 45 years ago! Sunday was always the day we got chicken either baked or this way. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Racquel. I haven’t had this since but will be sure to make it soon. Your recipes are amazing and I make your tender and juicy pork chops for my husband pretty often…including today…lol. He loves it!! This recipe is nostalgic and takes me back to a time decades to my child hood. I will be making this soon. Tthank you for your short and easy to follow videos and blessings to you always!🙏🏼
Yes Karen, Fry Chicken coated with tasty bbq sauce… so you get that slight crunch from being fried, mix with saucy bbq flavor … really really delicious!! Thank you for watching 😊
Look delicious, but years ago I use tomake my own Barbecue sauce.and I use to frywingettes and then put in oven, it was a hit, even without green wet seasoning. Must try it like that sometime.i
Oh my! I am going to try this but I will pull some of that chicken out of the process as soon as it is fried just to try it without the BBQ sauce, it looks so amazing all by itself. I like how you plate up your food with a whole meal. Wish I could just order up your food. I couldn't believe you put the chicken back into water after you had floured it once. Never ever heard of that, but I will try it. Sounds crazy.
😂🤣 Yes Clark it sounds crazy when you think about putting the chicken in water then back in the flour, but this method works perfect 👌🏾 You acquire a nice layer of crunch without the use of eggs, nor milk. Thank you for your kind words and compliments and thank you for watching 🤗 Bless up 🙏🏾
Racquel, the chicken looks delicious. Question: Why do you put the chicken in water 💧? After the first flour coat. As normally I would use egg 🥚 or milk 🥛.
Hi Denny, thank you 😊 The water is a substitute for the milk and eggs, getting the chicken wet after it’s first coating helps the second coating to stick nicely, which will give that lovely crunch.

Raquel thank you very much for your recipe . Never heard of soaking the chicken in water back after you flour it . Will have to try it . Thanks
You are welcome Bebi 👍🏾
What temperature did you set the oven to at the end?
How long did you leave sauce on. ?
Looks like you cooked it in oven to crisp it up ....
or did it just dry that way ??

Can I use the store bought green Puerto Rican sofrito for this recipe? Thanx for your help
Definitely!
What's the green season you put in the sauce
what are the seasoning you use
What temp to bake in the oven?
10minites in the oven at what temperature?
Which one of the BBQ sauce you use?
Swiss BBQ Sauce, but any brand would work fine
Why the ketchup wit bbq? Jus curious wat it did. Like do you taste ketchup or bbq
BBQ Sauce is a bit tangy, the ketchup blends it out nicely
What’s the name of the jerk seasoning?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You took the seasoning out when you put it in the water. A waste 😢
Actually no…. All the seasonings were intact
Badest chicken mi ever eat Ina the history of mankind
