    I just discovered you today on youtube and I just want to say damn. I literally keep saying to myself, "this is so me...I totally agree" after almost everything you say. It may just be because we're both psyc majors but idk. Even your hairstyle/color reminds me of me! lol

    Honestly I find you so adorable xD and I'm almost positive you go to one of my top choice UC schools (not gonna say which because privacy). Please make a video on how to choose between two top choice schools... Both have my major... Both are prestigious but I still can't decide! How do you know which is right for you?

    For your next college talk can you address about people living off campus and how that may affect your experience? I'm going to college after 2 years since graduating from highschool but I have chosen to live off campus do to the violence that the school is known for. Love your videos!

      Brii Beautyy I am doing the same thing too! I am anxious to see if it is going to be difficult to make friends as a transfer, rather than a freshman or an upperclassman

      tightrope 2394 I agree I was actually thinking about that the other day :P but I think the best way to make friends especially as a transfer is to join clubs at least one or two :)

      Wow, we are totally awesome lol. I definitely agree! I will be an athlete at a school of 2,000, so I'll probably get to know people through that :3

      Brii Beautyy Wow if you have the secret to enjoying community college you need to PM me, because honestly I'm going the transfer route right now and I HATE it. The community college atmosphere is completely demoralizing because: if I do well in classes, no one from a top college will respect that, and if I do bad, it shows that I'm as dumb as everyone else. It's a lose-lose situation. The only hope is to get the credits, "maintain" a high "GPA" (or whatever we call that these days), and get out as fast as possible. Seriously...I guess I'm paying the price for going cheap (haha the irony).

      I did the same thing last fall. At first it was difficult because I went in as a Junior and i went from having 25 kids in my class to 300. But now I am getting the hang of things and I am happy to say I will be graduating on time.

    I'm taking a Bio class right now and I hate it. While I do find it interesting it's a lot of work. I'm a pre-pharm major and I can't imagine doing any more Bio classes. I'm thinking of changing to Psy but I'm not to sure.

    what exactly does it mean to change your major? is it like a self-proclaimed kind of thing or do you have to officially change it or maybe a little bit of both?

    I was just wondering if a lot of college students still live with their parents, or in their hometowns, because it seems like a majority of people live on campus or in their dorms. In Australia, most people live with their parents still :)

    • @184rama
      @184rama 9 лет назад +1

      I think it depends if the college is close to home. My school is in a college friendly town so you are able to find places to rent. I know some kids who live close to home ( less than 30 minutes) and they want to live on campus to get a college experience. Me personally I rather live at home because you are saving a lot of money.

    • @thelittlemissizzy6940
      @thelittlemissizzy6940 9 лет назад

      i guess, but in australia people take like 2/3 hours to get to uni and they still live at home.

    For those who don't know what major to pick in college or what college to go to in general, here are a few advices.
    - Pick what is best for your future, job availability what you don't hate and money, a balance between all three of them. Don't pick Art history just because you like art and history, that is a total waste of 4 years of your life and all that money.
    I chose Human Resources in college because in my country (Thailand), there is a labor shortage in the HR field. Companies are finding it impossible to find English speaking Thai citizens. To give you an idea, I'm in FRESHMAN year and this company already offered me and my classmates a job for 2018-2019 when we graduate; my class has 10 people. And I gotta do something, I enjoy sitting on my ass all day playing video games but that doesn't mean I should do that for a living.
    - Go to a college that offers internship.. For your last year of college, internship is a requirement to graduate in my college. Now you may ask "why would they do that? What if you can't find internships?" that's not a problem, the problem is our college don't have enough students to give to the companies.
    - Go to a college that teaches real world skills. Katiz you mentioned you did Calculus in college. That's a useless application even more so because you're doing Psychology. Psychology has nothing to do with maths let alone calculus. And that's what my college is doing. My college goes to companies and asks the employers what kinds of skills employees are expected to have, and so my college's studies are solely based on that.
    - If you can, DO NOT study in the US. The text books are a scam, the tuition fees are crazy. I'm going to one of the most expensive college in Thailand and the total tuition fees for 4 years is $12,000.

      I disagree fully with your first point. My sister loved art and history and purely for those two points she became an art historian and now she works at the Smithsonian. She loves it.
