Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.

They needed to include her injury, surgery, and comeback! The fact that she came back after tearing her ACL instead of retiring says a lot about her character and love for the team.

I love how she took the feedback. A lot of people don't know the difference between confidence and arrogance. Confidence makes those around you feel better about themselves. Arrogance makes them feel worse. Imo Gina learned the difference and is a confident person, always helping her teammates and building them up. I could watch her dance all day!
I did not like Gina her rookie year. I can see her growth over time. She seems so mature and humbled by her 5th year.

Totally agree. In the beginning she’s like “I have training other girls dont have etc etc.” She did come across to me as quite arrogant. However I also agree that she has since matured.

After what appeared to be a rocky start, Gina went on to excel year after year. She is an exemplary member of the DCC and deserves the point.

A lot of the brilliant girls didn’t get very long videos. Amy’s video was only 12 minutes, despite being on the team for five years, being a group leader and being point her final year
Im glad they had that talk with Gina cus it made her grow as a person instead of treating others as if she's so much better than them cus honestly I got the same thing off her first few interviews how she felt she's better or more experienced than everybody else which made me not like her but now I just love her and her growth interpersonally! Go gina!!! You're beautiful

Gina's rookie year was my very first season watching this show. She was my absolute favorite then and still is now. I was always disappointed when she didn't get much screen time so I am thrilled for her this season!! Get it girl, you DEFINITELY deserve it!!!!!!
Lolol. The rookie interviewees are never that confident. I totally see how some of the girls would have felt that Gina was cocky from that 😂😂 but I LOVE her style. She's so expressive with her dancing. Very fun to watch
Aww I feel like there is a lot of her journey they didn't show...they went from her rookie year immediately to this year. I know it is then and now but when I see these journey videos I want to see every bit of footage you have of each girl!!

I was a little skeptical about Gina at first, not gonna lie but I ended up LOVING her. She has GREAT energy, she's a very talented dancer and I think she DEFINITELY deserves the point! ❤❤

Gina has always stood out for me - not only is she charming and extremely attractive, she's a very strong performer and knows how to keep the attention of the audience. It's going to be a sad day when she retires.
For anyone ever bothered by a serious injury,Gina is inspiring. Her talent was obvious from the start,but she matured and that made her even more of an outstanding dancer

Gina's journey was definitely that! I'd love to know who felt the need to speak to K&J about how she may have come across, but am pleased with how K&J handled it with not breaking Gina's spirit. Gina's come through and is a fantastic point, group leader and great DCC. When she retires, it'll be the laughs, memories and lifelong relationships she'll remember most.
I can see how someone said something. Gina was snobby during training camp and her rookie year. She seems to have humbled down over the seasons

Gina is awesome! Being able to rise above being misunderstood and allowing haters to be her motivators is why I believe she succeeded. Of course being beautiful and a talented dancer played its role

Gina has been my favorite. I didn’t see this episode though. Sometimes I can come off a bit cold and distant before I’m comfortable with new people and it almost always gets taken the wrong way. People with this personality type have to try very hard to be open because it isn’t that easy for some people. Especially when trying to reach a goal you want so bad, you can have tunnel vision and creating relationships may not be her first priority. The DCC is notorious for open, outgoing and extroverted personalities, something some girls just don’t have right away. I’m sure over the years, the team has helped her for the better when dealing with others.
I agree, I'm often very focused on the task at hand, so focused I don't see the socializing part of it. Never been great at socializing for the sake of it anyways, I hate being forced. Gina did great, I'm not sure I would have been as comfortable as her trying to reach out to the other girls without feeling fake
I'm kind of like that, where I have my comfort circle and trying to expand it. Hint, I'm in my 50s
I’m so happy that finally a Gina journey was made. She is my all time favorite. With some of the footage, It’s OK to be aloof and focus on herself, she’s trying to make the team. But I’m so glad she worked through that area of development, and get to know her teammates better - it’s a sign of leadership that she can handle constructive criticism. Gina is a natural, highly skilled, and my all time fave. Gina truly deserves all the goodness!
there's a difference between focusing on yourself and coming off as arrogant/thinking ur better then others. That's what the problem was, not that she was focusing on herself

I’ve been waiting for Gina’s journey because I couldn’t quite remember if she had an issue her a rookie year in terms of her “attitude”, now watching this back, it’s jogging my memory!!! To be honest, I didn’t quite her much her rookie year but she has definitely grown on me and has always been a great dancer… well deserving of the point!!

I think she is a great dancer & has such great energy. I think she was very focused on making the team & not worried about other girls, which is why she seemed “aloof.” I think she humbled throughout her years though.
also wish they'd put more emphasis on her actual journey! There were a ton of special moments: Kelli referred to Gina as their strongest vet in her second year, she made SG all 5 years, second leader her third year, first leader for two years, constantly being picked by guest choreographers etc.

Gina is the whole package as she’s nice, beautiful & a great dancer too. She has been one of my favorite DC to watch. Gina looks also like one of my granddaughters Khloe in the face too.
Gina is so beautiful & the whole package that yes some of the other women are going to be jealous of her. I’ve had to deal with this since I was 13 yrs old & still do & it’s not fun that these women treat you bad because of your looks & talents by making up stories. I’m sorry Gina you had to go through that with jealous teammates making up stories about you

Gina just seems like she would be a very sweet person to meet. All of them would but me personally it would be Lilly, Victoria, Christina, and Gina. Especially Gina. She is so sweet and nice!
it’s so wild to me that people thought Gina wasn’t a team player or was fake her first season because now that im rewatching the show, she was the first one to hug some of the other rookies who were welcomed into training camp her first season! And she was always willing to help the new rookies when she was a vet. She might’ve been a little cocky but I don’t think she ever meant it in a malicious way or even realized she was being cocky because once Kelli and Judy talked to her about it, there seemed to be no issues.

Gina has a more introverted personality than most DCC do and sometimes that comes across as arrogance. But people that are arrogant often love to remind everyone of how great they think they are. I never saw Gina do that. I wonder if CMT is considering a profile of Rachel, Nicole Bulcher, Tobie Percival, or Brooke Sorenson?
When you say profile do you mean one of these journey videos for the girls you mentioned? If so 1 year ago they made one for Brooke Sorenson and it's 25 minutes long 🥰😊

They should have showed her solo from the bubble. That was filmed but they only showed only a clip of it. The veterans said it was very emotional for her.
When I started watching the show, Gina just stood out! She’s a good dancer and I’m happy for her. Definitely rightful to be the point dancer.

Gina should be the sole point, IMO. Rachel is beautiful, no doubt, but her movements aren't sharp, they don't "pop". My eyes go to watching other girls in the formation rather than staying on Rachel. With Gina she simply demands that you watch her. Her energy pours out of her.

I did not like her her rookie year. She acted stuck up and better than everyone else. Clearly someone else didn't either or they wouldn't have had that conversation. Now as a fifth year vet, she's amazing and a great performer. She definitely deserves point

As pointed out late in the video, that was the first time in the DCC locker room at AT&T in 20 months(?!?!); how many other things did the 2020 DCC team - including Gina of course! - miss out on or were not able to do?
Makes me wish there had been an extra episode or two on Season 15’s show, due to the truly unique circumstances forced by COVID.

The only thing they got to do was perform on the field once to record a video of their signature dance and then dance on the touchdown decks in masks in 2020. Nothing else

they definitely said definitely a bit to many times. a couple times is fine but 6 is a bit much but this was definitely funny. when she went into the office later on she looked very confused. she knows she lied but ended up doing great

How did you hear it?
1. Gina keeps to herself because she suffered from the jealousy of other girls and just wants to focus on her dancing and making the team.
2. That somebody who talked to J&K was jealous and she is not aloof.
The whole conversation was offputting tbh. I definitely heard (more or less) "She's just jealous and I'm not going to let her pull me down, and I'm clearly a better dancer because people ask me for help all the time." Knowing Gina NOW, I seriously doubt that is what she was trying to convey, but it was not a good look for her when that episode came out imo.

I was SO impressed with Kelly’s question about the personal lives of one of her fellow rookies. Because I want to believe that Gina THOUGHT she was being nice, but Kelly helped her realize that she hasn’t been opening up to girls as much as she thought she was.
