Family is so important spend as much time with your kids as you can And thanks again you are very appreciated my friend I love learning how saws function almost as much as I love running them
Love this video I just ordered a grinder and bits I have a stihl 036 cylinder that I will be attempting to save and mabe make better with all the videos I’ve watched from you and The Ironhorse can’t wait to get started. Hope you and the family are doing great and enjoying the summer thanks for the inspiration and knowledge Tinman
Hey Tinman, good video thanks. If your old hobby you're gonna get back into is motorcycles be careful buddy, my old man crashed and died on his when I was 15 yrs old. Hope you're all good.
Usually watch on my phone, today on the pc. Wow, you gone 4k? look like a film star :) Aus army recently had a surplus goods auction. They had x30 brand new in box 372s available. Made $1000Australian ea, too hot for me. Was real keen to get one to replace my 570xp. Love ya channel Tinman !
Would it be good to have a tool that grinds both ways? To not grind into the plating but pulling the plating away into the opening. Just my thoughts. Very enjoyable content, very interesting. TC Mahalo Tinman. 🤙🤙🤙
Im enjoying my cs 400 echo for a 50 cc saw it does what i need it to do would i take it logging no i got my 650 witch is 64cc with a 24 inch bar on it for logging. But for doing any backyard or farming cutting for firewood na the 50 cc saw is plenty of get up and go for a light weight saw.
Looking at doing some mild porting to my pp4218avx. Just looking to give it some more torque for when I run into some harder wood. I’ve already done a muffler mod and plan to do a base gasket delete. Any recommendations before I dive in?
My neighbor is 93 an i take him out with me sometimes to cut a load of wood with the halfton he has not the biggest sthil saw but the one just below that i have to start the saw for him an off he goes till the tank runs out usually lol i load the truck an finish up cutting the last few blocks
Would an old 51 or 55 be a good one to port? I have an old 55 that’s going to need a new piston and cylinder on it and I would love your opinion Tin. Have a great one from NC.
Hey Tinman, my MS360 starts hard due to accidental over intake. It acts like it's not pulling fuel or not choking. I may have to do a jb weld correction.
Hi.Youu make great videos, you're always in a good mood, just keep going. some of us are from europe, so could you explain how much sqush is in mm. thanks Tinman🙂
out of curiosity, do you tinman have any solo saws or worked with them? i have one in my workshop thats actually quite amazing. i would also love any viewers experiences with them. PS keep making the awesome content brother :)
The fuel can sheet down the walls of a polished intake. When it's very rough any fuel that would run has to leave the peaks of the roughness and is likely to reatomize.

Do you have any issues with the Nikasil flaking or lifting over time from where you open up ports?

Those 51s and 55s port up nice.
@@tinmanssaws I’m going to go through some of your other videos and maybe a few others. So far you’re the most informative porting videos out there.
Love the longer content!

Is the other hobby reloading by chance?
Tinman! Say hi to your fam for me 😊
If you want more power youd wanna squish your gasket more eh kinda same idea when i shaved the head on my sled 10 thousands of an inch
How's the Tinman and family
I hate shadows in my garage when im leaning over an engine i dont like shadows my shop is loaded with fluorescent lighting lol
Can someone speak to the fact that many rough up the intake port to cause more turbulent flow... What is the advantage?
It keeps the air/fuel atomized, meaning the fuel stays in suspension instead of falling out of the air and pooling :)
The fuel can sheet down the walls of a polished intake. When it's very rough any fuel that would run has to leave the peaks of the roughness and is likely to reatomize.
