My hubby still uses his 35yr old engel in the truck...touch wood it has never let him down......I will be showing him this......sometimes it pays to buy quality ...sometime going cheap you pay more in the end.....
Love the battery back up system on the EcoFlow, very good for short term use as you describe for weekend use etc. I don't think that I will sell my 40 litre Engels just yet. The solid metal body of the Engels is hard to beat. I have had two of them over 30 years. The first I purchased at a garage sale for $10, replaced the 12v power cable and it worked for around 12 years in the back of a ute working across Northern Australian remote areas. The second was a new purchase 14 years ago and it is still running well. Priced at around $1200-1400 AUD it is hard to beat. The fridge is supported by a lot of in vehicle electronics, the dual battery system and wiring (a start battery, the AGM or Lithium 2nd battery, the electronic isolator, wiring to the back of the vehicle, anderson plugs on the front and rear bars, anderson and other outlets inside the cab, a new AGM every three years or so, they all cost money). If you are working from the vehicle or going on long trips around Oz, then the that expense is more than worthwhile, and a bullet proof 12v fridge is necessary.
I'm looking at upgrading from a 35L engel in my canopy, and I've been looking at a 60L engel, but this might have just swayed me. Awesome review Nath, I'm keen to see how you go with it
Whisky ice cubes. Problem with anything than water ice cubes is that the sugar particles will eventually jam the lines. So not recommended. I have this fridge too
Good Evening 😊 Nice but a little pricey for the size 😮 Thanks again , but its too long of a video for a fridge review 😢 Greetings Mate from South Africa 🇿🇦
Great, looking fridge. I've always stuck with one brand be interesting to know how that 1 goes on the Corrugations of the Cape road. And in the salt water environment in the boat Getting burst around. You may have converted me to another brand.😂😂
Eco-Flow equipment is great gear we have it over here. Do you realise $1900 Nath with our complete set up you could buy us out 19 times🙄. We like how you explain the fridge as cool!! Series 9 will be great you Mel & The Meletts...Take care for now. The Wild Screeches ....
@@truckstinniestrebles I love the look of them. It's a shame it won't fit in my fridge compartment in the campertrailer. I'm always checking out new fridges as they come out, for when our knock off waeco dies (came with the camper) as we need one that is low in height and most fridges are all too tall. Have an engel but that stays in the back of car.
This is honesty a game change, You have show its place in the industry well Nath. TTT videos are going great.
Casually ascends table with knife to open box, wicked rock landscape photo in background...hands down best review of a fridge on youtube👍

That’s the beauty of brands like Engel. They’re proven 👌🏼
