I spent a whole year riding my connemara with only a christ iberica pad. Best decision I ever made. My balance has never been better, and my seat got so secure. Still to this day, even if I don't have my own horse anymore, I use the pad from time to time on the horses that I ride, just to keep maintaining the muscles and the balance and while also keeping up my mindset about bareback riding. Best feeling in the world is when you can keep a totally relaxed seat while in full gallop through the forest. Feels like magic
Love your videos! One time I was on a pony who was green and new to the barn my instructor asked me to drop my stirrups while cantering and she started going really fast not listing to e asking her to slow down so I turned her had to the rail hoping that would help but it was dark and she spooked at something she took off I was still on her with no stirrups i was trying to get her to stop then the saddle slipped i fell off she got scared by that and she kept running after i fell she almost ran into another horse when she finaly stopped the saddle slipped all the way.

@abigailseelke Poneys and horses are different. Horses are horses that are bigger than 14.2hh and poneys are smaller then 14.2hh. Hope this helps. 😊❤
