- In this video we're getting delivery of my New 2023 TESLA Model Y Performance 💨 I'm calling it my new "Mommy Car". Come along for the ride, I do a short walk-through with the TESLA App on the delivery process and a look around my New TESLA Model Y. My first impressions of the vehicle and driving electric ⚡️ + the overall experience at the TESLA store in Smithtown (Long Island), New York.

Thanks for showing this video and bringing light to some cars aren’t all the way aligned. Unfortunately my Tesla, had a back door alignment issue. My dad is still upset that I signed for the car knowing the back door was botched (as he says). He said I got the only used 2023 with 18 miles in America. SMH. Thankfully yours came ok. Tesla fixed mine and now mine is perfect. Now let’s talk about that gas pedal!! Girl, I’m so glad this thing isn’t a convertible. I would have no wig, no edges, no makeup. Everything would be tossed all over the highway. These cars take flight if and when you “accidentally” give it some gas (no pun). Anyway, I love the color of yours. Oh no sorry of your wheels 🛞. I do agree with you about taking extra precautions next to side walks and drive-through. nice choice on the spec! I just ordered mine and it's just like yours except I went for the white interior. I am so excited I pick it up in 6 days. thats a really good point on how a lot of cars have panel gaps, it's just no one brings attention to it like Tesla owners do. My truck that I will be trading in I actually looked for panel gaps and the whole hood is misaligned and I would of never looked or cared if I wasn't buying a Tesla LOL so yeah all cars do, its just no one cares..

Reason there is no haggling is because while Tesla needs a profitable margin they are trying to get one in everyone’s hands at the same time.

Enjoy! I took delivery of my 2023 M3 in March 2023 and have no regrets, I love it! No issues at all, I feel you on the dealership experience of the past👎🏽I arrived with my cashiers check and a check for the balance from my credit union, it took 30mins, best experience ever! And yes Tesla does take trades!!!your Tesla is so pretty😍 a few times my cell phone died and I could not get in my car until my phone came back to life(the card was in my purse in the trunk) so yes you need to always carry the key card!! welcome to the fam!

Thank you for watching! I don’t regret the black interior at all because of my toddler…. As you can see in the clip she was walking all over the seats 🤦🏽♀️. I test drove the MYLR at Americana Manhasset, but I have to say that I love the sexier look of the Performance with the bigger wheels 🛞 & lower suspension

Charge on the streets 😂😂😂. All joking aside if you are willing to charge at off peak hours at superchargers you can pay less or the same as if you charged at home. For example if you go to location on the app tap & scroll any supercharger location it will show you Price Per kWh on off peak times it can be as low as $0.19 🤩.
Now with regards to my electric bill it depends on your electrical company and if you choose the have them do the electrical plug 🔌 and outage upgrades or if you get a certified electrician to install an EV Charger. (wall connector VS other charging options)
For example you can pay roughly about $500+ in my area for a Tesla recommended electrician to install an upgraded wall connector. In my case it would be more because our breaker panel is in the basement 85 ft away from the garage. With a wall connector you can change anytime of day. My electrical company recommended charging at night & it cost roughly $7+ extra monthly and I charge at 80% unless I’m going on long trips & I don’t charge every night, only when needed (so far twice a week).
However, if you’re in the market for a new house you can actually negotiate to have owners install it especially if it’s a new build. I hope this was helpful. I’m just a mom in a Tesla not a professional 😉 Good Luck 👍🏾 & Thanks for watching by the way.

Tenting the roof will void the warranty from what others have said. Heat issue weakens the glass.

I live up the street from the Fremont factory and it’s pretty wild seeing truckloads of teslas always hitting the road to be delivered in other areas of the US. I agree with you that buying a Tesla is one of the best things ever. A few clicks of the mouse, literally, and that’s it. There’s no nonsense of some sleazy salesman trying to add in extra stuff to scam you, no spending hours trying to negotiate some lower price from a massive markup sticker, etc…I got my 2021 Model 3 delivered directly to my garage door, signed off on it, and then the delivery guy just hopped into an Uber to get back to the Tesla factory. It was a bit weird at first but I can’t imagine it any other way now. In 3 years of ownership, I’ve literally spent about $60 in maintenance, which is replacing the cabin filters (once you start smelling that foot odor stench, it’s time! Make sure to use the cleaner too or else the stench won’t go away). That’s it! No other car I’ve ever owned where I spent less than a hundo for maintenance in one year, let alone three years! Really happy for you and your family to get such a beautiful vehicle!

Just wondering, is it normal in USA to get a loan for a car? I own a Tesla model 3 and someone else i know owns a Tesla modal Y Performance. But all cash paid, it's not normal here to get a loan for a car. Because you only take a loan for investment, not something like a car right?

However, I purposely chose not to talk about loans or financing because everyone has different financial situations, especially in this economy. Hey do you have to get the insurance on the same day off delivery
Since this isn’t a traditional dealership you actually will need to get insurance and show proof of coverage starting a few days prior or on date of delivery & you will need to upload a copy of it on the Tesla app & it’s truly simple. Thank you for watching ❤️

No I didn’t have to go to the DMV at all! Everything was handled and my registration was mailed to me a few weeks later from Tesla . Plates were included with registration process & was already mounted at the time of delivery. I had asked Tesla the same question a week prior to my delivery & they said “we will be providing plates & a temporary registration at the time of pickup”. Again I’m in NY so I can only speak on my experience in NY. If you are concerned though ask questions through the app or their online chat 💬. Thank you again for watching ❤️ & congratulations 🎊🎉

I got a dual motor model y I'm sorry that car has terrible insulation I hate driving it on the highway it's an OK car I'm not sure why people rave about tesla its not luxury I'm upgrading to a porsche cayenne coupe next year

I am in no means comparing a Tesla to any other luxury vehicles, there are hundreds of RUclips videos that do that & have the knowledge to justify the pros & cons. I’m just sharing what we choose for our family. With that said our family still owns 2 Mercedes, a Toyota & Tesla. Each serves us well and has pros and cons.
