In my opinion, there will never be a replacement for the likes of The Cathedrals! They were Godly men who were truly born-again Christians and it's evident just watching and listening to them praise and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ!!!

Glen was one of the most personable guys you'd ever meet. His singing philosophy was if you can't sing a note on Sunday morning, don't sing it on Saturday night. He never had a sore throat because of it. I worked with the Weatherfords for 7 yrs and got to hear alot of stories about Glen and George. Even tho I left the music business in 97, I was privileged to be part of the choir at Glen's funeral. A group that will never be duplicated.

Glen and George are two of the best singers in the business and I would have loved to have to got to meet both of them because I love to hear them now too

@barrywarren8623 If you watched how Glen sang, you would notice he created excitement in a song by his delivery of the song. It might be a gesture or the way he sang a solo. If you watched Ernie, his singing is more fashioned towards going for the high notes alot of the time. That was what Glen was talking about. If you cant hit that high note on Sunday morning, don't sing it on Saturday night.

Watching Glen during his last concerts, you would have had no idea he was dying. He always had fun singing the gospel and now the original Cathedrals are together with roger joining on the piano along with other Cathedrals members who have passed.
That actually makes me feel better at our loss of them.

That's right ive sang in Southern Gospel groups. I'm a bass with range. Can't do tenor. A Track Chaplin asked me are you going to heaven I said definitely he said why told him I was gonna sing with the greatest singers ever. George Hovie The Big Chef Jake the Speersand many more. My Dad's health never let him see me in concert but after he passed Mom never missed me singing unless we traveled far away. I get to heaven they will both get to see and hear me. Had to sing the night mom passed. Christmas musical I had a solo Preacher said don't worry she will be sitting 2nd pew like always. God put his hand on me then or I wouldn't have made it thru. Hardest thing I've had to do so far in my life

Angus Diaries, I don't think anyone gives a thought as to "white men" or "Jewish." It's all about worshipping the Lord through this beautiful song. George Younce is a humble man that love the Lord Jesus with all his heart here in this song, and indeed, with his entire life. The Lord be praised for men like him.
