Ahhh the memories i used to have the Aprentice STS 1.5 with them floats i flew it out at our local lake brought in all kinda attention loved flying it, It was very smooth and easy on the controls but like a dummy i ended up selling it for 600.00 man i miss that plane
Mine did the same -- a lot of LEFT DRAG causing it to turn left in water, but that's released as the plane lifts off water. It's a bad design to have only 1 rudder -- should be one on each float so it's balanced
You gotta give it longer than it will on land with wheels because the water has more drag than what the wheels do so it will take more than what land does
