Hey man, been watching for like 2-3 years now.. won 2 years in a row and last year got in the championship game.. thank you the effort nobody doing it like you.
Looking at contact behind the line for Henry would explain alot. He probably kept the same total yards per game, but each run started at negative 2 yards
Some guys had their beat seasons from their age 28- age 31 seasons: Priest Holmes Tiki Barber Matt Forte Curtis Martin Marshall Faulk Shaun Alexander Brian Westbrook Derrick Henry LaDanian Tomlinson Marshawn Lynch Charlie Garner Ricky Watters DeMarco Murray Thomas Jones Most of these guys all had a TON of usage in their careers leading up to this point, so guys like Derrick Henry and Joe Mixon (and obviously CMC) might still have multiple years of great to elite fantasy production remaining 🤞
I watched each Tennessee game last season and I would say the way they was using him was taking points from him. They was using the other rb too much and not letting Henry get going.
I was thinking something similar. With Keaton Mitchell recovering, the best Baltimore has is Justice Hill and a Rookie. Compare those to Tyjae Spears and there is no comparison. Spears is much stronger competition than anyone in Baltimore at the moment.
Henry this year feels like how he performed in fantasy will almost entirely depend on his touchdown rate. I could easily see him having a Mostert type season, but could also see him have less touchdowns than expected and be a bad pick. Feel like I just want to be around median on him
Been getting Henry on Underdog in the middle of the 3rd. Think that’s a safe price with the upside he brings can make him look like an RB1-5 on a week to week basis.
Yeah it's hard drafting henry at his adp right now for me, I love the big fella, and I do believe he has a couple years left because of how his career started. I'll probably take more shots at him in redraft than I should.
After what Mostert did last year at 31, I'll take my chances on Henry. Given how Baltimore loves to hand it off to their rbs at the goal line, he could very well reach 20 tds this season. High end rb2 would be where i would rank him this year
I like to see signs of notable decline prior to fading guys (especially at 28-32), and also note the injury situation for that player during the season (Kelce, last year for example, had a notable injury from week 1, then had an ankle injury. There's a reason he suddenly looked far better in playoffs after a couple of weeks of rest). Henry's situation last year simply wasn't good, but he still put some good stuff on tape, and demonstrated that he had his speed.
Was just in a BBMV draft with you Mason. I was the 7th pick you were 4th. You definitely sniped a few picks from me lol. Excited to follow along this season
Derrick Henry is not in decline. Whenever he was handed the ball he ran quite efficiently. The problem was they were behind in a lot of games, and he is not a pass catcher
Thinking of a guy like jones with a rookie qb I wonder how important the correlation between quarterback check down rate and ppr success. A guy like breece hall lived off the check down last year, while swift suffered because hurts check down rate is low
King Henry is a great pick up. If he gets hit behind the line, he’s toast. But if gets hit after the line, he breaks defences, the ravens can facilitate that well
@@dhadlock33that’s the thing. You’re comparing an outlier to the “standard”. No other 30 year old is in the shape he’s in, I promise you that. And he’s coming from one of the worst teams in the league to one of the best. Bet against him if you want but don’t say I didn’t tell you
In my underdog draft, it was the first time ever i went robust RB. Grabbed Cmac, Saquon and Achane. Idk what to feel, but it seems like RBs are undervalued
92.6 ADP for Swift (15:42) puts him in round 8 and the RB3/flex territory. I get the declining RB argument, but I’m totally fine with him as the starting RB for an ascending Bears offense and being a flex/depth piece with some upside… if he’s still around in round 7 after I’ve got my RB1, RB2, 3 WRs and maybe a TE or QB…
solid video, would you consider making one peering into the data regarding TEs/QBs in terms of where they finish overall if they are in a top 5 offense, would be interesting to see if the same principle holds true for them
Hey I love these little series you have. Is there any way you can do something similar looking at oline play and how it affects RBs? Like the past 5 top offensive lines by seasonal grades and look at RB play and then the worst Olines and RB play. I feel like there is an obvious connection but I just don't how much/strongly it is correlated.
@@Flockfantasy Thanks, you're the best! I have found that taking 2 elite RBs early like Gibbs/Kyren and then going heavy WR in the middle rounds like Tank Dell and Pickens is a great strategy in ESPN leagues, just like you mentioned in the video!
King Henry, Singletary, and Zeki may not be as efficient but looking from a volume and opportunity stand point its there for them. I wouldn't waive them off if you can get Singletary and Zeki later in the 7th or 8th round, Henry is going late first round or early second and if you're in a 12-16 man league or being 10th pick and lower I would pick these guys up.
I’m willing to take the risk with Henry. He was actually solid last year with a terrible team and O Line. And I think when Baltimore gets in the redzone it will be Derrick Henry show
Love Henry this year. Much better offense, oddly enough run defenses in the North were worse than in the South, defenses have to account for Jackson...if a plodder like Edwards can score 13 TDs and average 4.1 YPC I'm pretty confident Henry will have one last big year in the tank. Plus he's coming off of a year where he was used less per game than any of the prior four years so oddly enough should have relatively fresh legs.
It's hard to know what to take into context for RBs when everyone says the most important thing for a RB is the offensive line. I see you're now mentioning this lol so the most important to me is his yards vs expected compared to past seasons and compared to other elite players across the league
