personally i loved the bonelab soundtrack. the moon level did get annoying after the 5th listen though lol. also i never felt motion sickness ever, but in that one part of the game where your an anime girl driving a kart i lost my feeling in space, something i had never felt from vr before. i love how bonelab pushes comfort in vr, i needed a more intense vr game!
Flipping the kart is super disorienting ngl 🤣 and then ur not really strong enough to flip it back as the anime girl
underrated bonelab take.
(question, have your thoughts changed for better or worse now that it's been a year?)
To be honest I haven't touched the game in a solid 6months I should give it another go though. Thanks for your feedback!
@@Dom-Snow make sure to check out bonelab fusion, it's a multiplayer mod and it's pretty much seamless and adds stuff such as multiple carts in monogon motorway depending on the player count.
And sure it does suck that the SDK still isn't out, but it's being worked on and is just harder then expected.

what bonelab can be in the future is amazing with mods and community support new vr games could be made form it be seem to gloss over that part
That doesn't excuse the lack of content already in the game when the game is double the price of it's predecessor with more problems. Boneworks already has a huge amount of mods, like custom campaigns, weapons, and enemies. Just because it has better modding tools doesn't make it better than Boneworks. Boneworks was a 20 hour game that costs 20 bucks. Bonelabs is a 3 hour game that costs 40, and has less content because the entire game is built around modding.
JFJ's Sock Sights video on Bonelabs explains this very well, better than I can. In general, Bonelabs is a worse version of Boneworks with less content, lore, and they haven't even fixed the melee combat being dogshit.
@@ground5295 bonelab has more stuff than boneworks more npcs more guns avatar swapping avatar importing and cars its all not perfect but it has more things than boneworks and works on quest 2

I should also mention that I think the soundtrack is good, and just because the style of it changes here and there doesn't make it bad. The criticisms that I personally have are the fact that some of the models are just extremely ugly (or extremely out of place), the level design is comparably worse than Boneworks, and while the idea of Avatar switching is cool, I don't think it should really be the crux of the game. Personally, Bonelabs is a 5x worse experience than Boneworks that fortunately (and unfortunately) lasts around 6x less than Boneworks.
If you think comparing Boneworks to Bonelabs is a bad thing, then I have no words other than:
They are literally the same game but one has a single new feature and a shittier campaign. That's it.
I agree with many of your criticisms but I think the fact that the game is playable on Quest is a pretty big deal that shouldn't be glossed over. However I agree that that's no excuse for the game to feel as lacking in some areas. (Moon level for ex.) Personally I'm just happy my friends who don't have a PC can experience a "Bone game" and because of the modding they might be able to play other games through bonelab in the future. The first level of boneworks has already been modded in (WIP) so I think while it's definitely expensive for what it is now. The sky's kinda the limit with this one. Also I 100% agree that the melee is dogshit 😮💨😅
