just watched an interview with Scott- who admitted that seeing the haircut was such a shock that he blew the scene. lol. She looks great with long hair but that cut was INCREDIBLE.. She is strikingly beautiful.
God I love this show because it's so real, I was in the same situation as Felicity and after I watched this I realized I should never compromise myself for a guy no matter how crazy I am about him. It hurts to let go, and it still hurts but there's so much more to life than a cute guy. It takes so much guts to do what she did, thanks Felicity.
I love the break up speech!! I always watch it when I'm having a hard time with a guy, it gives me courage.

I watch this every time my heart gets broken. It reminds me that not every person is where you are and you shouldn't have to wait for them.
her delivery is very realistic in this scene.

She’s right.
I want to say exactly this to a guy I love right now. That I can't be with someone who claims he wants to be with me but is too much of a coward to actually be with me. And he's going to realize what he missed one day, but it'll be too late.
(I guess it wasn't too late for Ben because he ended up realizing his mistake months later and got her back, but I don't see that happening with this guy. I see him realizing it when he's in his 50s and alone.)

When I watched this as a teenager I remember feeling bad for Ben. Watching it back as an adult I am livingggg for Felicity's speech! Ben absolutely needed to grow up. Felicity was just too good for him at that time. He didn't deserve her.

@@aliali-ce3yf No lol she followed him to college in NY but they were starting to date at this time.
@@Lubbylove89 Ben was 19 , seems entitled to still play the field and not get all serious with Felicity. At that age, it's ok to just go for something easy and just have fun. Felicity came off as being way too serious.
Actually, Felicity herself needed to grow up too and understands that you can't be serious too fast. She learnt this lesson when she freaked out when David was talking about love and she wasn't at the level yet. That's when she realized she was in the same position Ben was. When they eventually dated, both were at the same level of seriousness.

I loved how Keri Russell played Felicity. She showed such emotion through and through. You could feel it right through the screen. When she laughed. When she cried. She is an amazing actres. I would love to see her more.

Keri Russell is beautiful. I love this show still 20 yrs later. Her hair- long and then so GREAT short to show that amazing face. I enjoy watching this video- she was so right. He was a coward or he just listened to Sean too much. I am a fan of Eli. Felicity did not know Eli, but her trust for him allowed her to be with him when she could not be with Ben or Noel.Eli is my favorite for Felicity. Too bad This edit and part 1 are my all time favorites. I come back often. Perfect statements. He does WAKE up... in S2...#10- 2#23 "I love yous"> Great.

ainda bem que ele não falou nada! tinha que ficar quieto e ouvir mesmo. Típica reação de garoto bobo, imaturo que, claramente, não tá pronto ainda pra estar com um mulherão.
Eu amo esse discurso e como algumas pessoas já falaram aqui, sempre que eu tenho o coração partido ou tô passando por um momento difícil em um relacionamento com caras imaturos, eu volto aqui pra rever essa cena.
E essa atuação da Keri é irretocável!

Loved this scene! But im bummed that it doesn't have the song that played when this episode originally aired! The song was so beautiful and really gave the scene an extra emotional punch....I know its because of the licensing of songs and all that, but dang, i wish I could find this scene how it originally aired🤫

But was put off by her emotional state. It doesn't make him a coward, just a young guy with options and no interest in settling into something serious as a college student.
No. You're wrong and missed the entire season. She was bang on about Ben and he admitted it later. The night he ghosted their date he was going back and forth in a ferry. He was being a coward and he woke up later.
@@dinahwestallen he's 19, its normal not to be interested in anything serious. She says she's an emotional person and doesn't want to change.........but expects Ben to change? That seems pretty arrogant. Turns out he was right given how flaky she is throughout the series.
He is a coward because as she says he wants something with her and he knew that involved some commitment on his part with a girl like her but when push came to shove he chickened out. Why did he pursue her in the first place if he was never serious? The best part of what she says is that one day he will wake up and realise what he missed and that's exactly what happened.

Watching a an adult, this show is very unrealistic, at 19 you don't behave like Felicity, Ben is accurate, a guy who follows his instincts and is afraid of commitment, but Felicity acts 30.
