How does one get around a Voidcaller'd Malorne without a silence or BGH? How does one potentially prevent a doomsayer from casually getting a complete board wipe on a freeze turn? I agree with BGH on it limiting certain cards in regards to creation [pushing it up to '8 attack' would be a big help in that regards, though pretty much target very little outside of giants/select dragons/malorne, and silencing can be a pain in certain decks that rely on not being slapped by silences, but without them, a lot of combo or massive cards can literally just go out of control instantly. Which would also be a damn shame. At least this way, both people have responses. At least we're far from the stage where we can cast counter spells in response to the opponents cards. This card is still good, and not every deck really wants to run 2 silence. A lot of decks don't even run the one owl that was run for a good length of time- and then 1-2 owls against a deck full of deathrattles, battlecries and buffs... Yeah, it's not exactly game breaking. If you couldn't take off Raptor's 3/4 with Nerubian Egg's effect, or Raptor with Sneeds or Anu'berak, or sylvannas, we'd have a card which would be completely uncontrollable. Silence can be a bummer, but it's necessary.
+CaptainThunderWolf in mtg there are enough 2-3 mana instant destroy or counter spells that they needed the indestructible or can't be countered tag on the really fun guys... i think getting my stuff silenced is better than it being removed as soon as I play them... and those systems have their own flaws as well. at least when I played, aggro decks could reliable win the game by turn 3 or 4 in mtg.. not fun to play against imo back to HS: BGH just replaced class cards like assassinate and usually just counters dr. boom, he's not owerpowerd at all and doesn't limit the design space because there are other cards which do the same just not as efficiently as BGH

Just wanted to say that I really like these 40+ minute long videos with games from the stream. I pretty much never can make it to the stream, so the RUclips and VODs are my only choices, and I prefer RUclips.

At first I was a little worried abourt the lack of eviscerate or deadly poison in this deck, but I must say that my fears were short lived. I don't have the skullkers and the legendaries, so instead I run two leper gnomes, an additional shattered sun cleric, an additional direwolf alpha and Brann, and the deck still plays well. Turns out it's pretty good.
I just wondered... If you were to Burgle an Ancestral Spirit, use it on, say, Sludge Belcher, and then use Unearthed Raptor on that Sludge Belcher... does the Deathrattle resummon the Raptor (as the text of the card would indicate), or is the Deathrattle "Summon a Sludge Belcher"?
similar to the one I made. The differences mostly are me using some spell power + spells like evi and fan. I feel like having an early way to answer musters and face hunter's 1 health guys is more important than the skulker. The battlecry synergy needs a lot of space that I didn't have. Thanks Kripp! Cool video great deck! That was my first thought on this video 2 days. This deck has been everywhere on the ladder and I can never seem to counter it. I played against it 4 times in a row and lost all of them.
I remember some-one hitting rank 1 legend with a control rogue deck and there was a tournament won with control rogue (dog maybe?). Control rogue has existed before.
Would you recommend crafting Sneed's to give this deck a try, or is there something you can swap out for Sneed's or just don't worry about this one and wait for another version to come along that doesn't use it?
Hey guys how's it going King Varian here. So today I wanna talk about the new rogue minion "Unearthed Raptor". It's one of the good cards that came out in this expension. It looks like is getting a brand new archtype, which could result in pretty good decks!
This is a really cool concept for a deck. You don't have much card draw, but most of your cards are worth 1,5 to 2 cards each, so you can play for tempo and don't lose too much value overall.
I think if you took out the sneeds and maybe one other card for cold blood or oil the deck would have the zoo control effect while keeping the rogue burst
Kripp, thank you very much for creating this deck. Copycats in the ladder absolutely love it. It isn't very good against handlock. I love to play handlock. Keep making decks like this!
why not brann bronzebeard? There's a surprising amount of synergy with it in this deck outside of just raptor combo. Abusive sarge, Si-7, shattered, maybe dark iron skulker against deathrattles? I don't know how that works. Dr. Boom is stupid etc.
Since Blizzard has been trying to make rogue a control kind of class for a while how do you think they could improve it. I look at warrior and find warrior to be very strong because of shield slam and execute. The value in those cards is tremendous. I personally think they could use a similar concept with rogue by adding a 1 cost card that deals damage equal to your weapon. Would be equal to, if not, slightly weaker than shield slam and would also be a solid addition in rogue. What do you think?
...that feeling when you're two cards off a great deck. Both legendary, Sylvanas and Sneed's. Time to grind out good for cards, and cards for dust just like with Dr. Boom.
I tried a deck with the raptor. I was enthousiastic that Rogue finally gets some love. It wasn't consistent enough with my deck, though. Sometimes you get a good hand and you wreck the opponent. And sometimes, it turns out very lacking. I'm not 100% convinced that the Raptor will suffice to give rogue a strong comeback in the meta but I'll surely give your decklist a shot. What I fear is that the meta will learn how to counter this deck pretty soon. Silence is a hard counter to the raptor. So is trading the early Deathrattle minions (except eggs most of the time, for obvious reasons).
Tried the deck after i made some changes. Added Healbot, Bran and Shadowsteps, since i felt this deck may needs healing. But frankly, it doesn't. You just don't get hit when your opponents needs to deal with your board. But, i think i'll keep Bran and Shadowstep in, they work way too good with argus and shattered to cut out.
i made a similar deck myself yesterday... havent lost a single game in a 2 hour session. its been a long time since i had such a streak with a new selfmade decklist. i like testing and playing with new unrefined selfmade decks. especially at the start of an expansion... there is always enough time to play with optimized "pro"decks after the first weeks of testing ones own stupid decklists^^
You know, I've been playing a version of that reincarnate shaman you made a video about. As much as I find that Rivendare rarely actually triggers its effect, frequently leaving it as a dead card in my hand, I got sick of looking at it and started just dropping it. Then it started paying off, because it's too powerful a card to just ignore. Even if it doesn't get value from it's text, it's effectively like a Antique Healbot with the potential for explosive plays against aggro decks. Just my thoughts.
Reminds me of the times pre undertaker nerf. Decks aren't built against that type anymore as well. Wonder if meta will adjust again. Still looks like a good deck and definitely fun even if adjusts.
I like the idea of this deck. But i changed it a bit for more flashy plays. Rivendare, Bronzebeard, added 2 Gang Up for more raptor-fun and a Piloted Sky Golem.

have you considered anub'arak for this deck, same deathrattle as nerubian egg but it would return the raptor to your hand.

Holy Moly. It works quite well! Gone all the way through 7,6, 5 and 4 with it! Changed quite a bit of it though, but it's really an option!

the nerubian/raptor combo at turn 2 and 3 is such a tempo swing.

You could add Bronzebeard as it can also work with dr boom but not with dark iron skulker I suppose
i made a similar deck myself yesterday... havent lost a single game in a 2 hour session. its been a long time since i had such a streak with a new selfmade decklist. i like testing and playing with new unrefined selfmade decks. especially at the start of an expansion... there is always enough time to play with optimized "pro"decks after the first weeks of testing ones own stupid decklists^^

You know, I've been playing a version of that reincarnate shaman you made a video about. As much as I find that Rivendare rarely actually triggers its effect, frequently leaving it as a dead card in my hand, I got sick of looking at it and started just dropping it. Then it started paying off, because it's too powerful a card to just ignore. Even if it doesn't get value from it's text, it's effectively like a Antique Healbot with the potential for explosive plays against aggro decks. Just my thoughts.
I want getting tired of ranked and was doing arena, but this video rekindled my desire for some ladder climbing! great video :)

Death rattle rogue with anubarak is very strong. Anub crushes control warrior and overall the death rattles conquer midrange

Reminds me of the times pre undertaker nerf. Decks aren't built against that type anymore as well. Wonder if meta will adjust again. Still looks like a good deck and definitely fun even if adjusts.
I like the idea of this deck. But i changed it a bit for more flashy plays. Rivendare, Bronzebeard, added 2 Gang Up for more raptor-fun and a Piloted Sky Golem.
