people were mad they didn’t see “sassy ellie” because she never met bill but she literally had that dynamic with joel in the beginning yet somehow she’s “unlikeable” all of a sudden
Okay so, I feel like Ellie is such an iconic character that one thing that is out of place makes them “unlikeable” I was one of these people, the fact to me. That she didn’t appear enough like “Ellie” in the game;blue eyes, red hair, freckles. Actually made me just straight up not like the actress they used for Ellie. Alas, she grew on me. I feel she’s just as sassy as our beloved game Ellie is
I feel like they made Ellie way ruder in the show. Ye In the game she beefed with Joel for a bit but it never escalated and she was actually quite respectful. Idk man if I was Joel in the show I woulda smacked that kid straight cause I hate children with attitude😭
@@athenaarrow9540 I mean, the adults around her were always blackmail-y government spawns, I don't think she has ever seen the need to respect anyone just for their age. Her love, care, and respect were earned through sincerity, and I love it so much

The zoom lens, especially for the 2:50 clip, highlights all their SUPER SUBTLE expressions I kinda missed when watching the show the first time.
