Wow! You make tiny baskets just like big baskets are made. This is the most realistic basket I have viewed online. I guess I`ll have to find the material and do some. Just beautiful. I give this tutorial a 10
I love this tutorial. Just to clarify- you run the thread through the wax to make the sticks? Or do you run the thread through the wax throughout the entire weaving process?
The sticks are thin floral wire I believe. The twine is waxed, possibly to make it easier to grip (and help it be less 'fuzzy' when the basket is done)
Thank-You for this wonderful tutorial, Rina; as-well as for the details You’ve included in Your comments-section - including supplies! (I love Your tutorials!) Looks to Me as thought You may-be using hemp string for this. …Is that correct? Thanks! Best-Wishes, Girl! 💗😊
Hi, I love your tutorials, thank you for posting them. I'm having a really hard time finding thread to do this with. Sewing thread is too thin, and I can't find a thick cotton thread. Can you please share what it is called? Many thanks 😊
This is not really a; “how to,” but more of a; “watch me make,” video. Would have liked a bit of explanation, or at least more informative filming in the “between transitions” in order to understand the actual steps. Enjoyable nonetheless.

If you look in a craft store like Joann Fabrics or Michael's, you will find heavier thread for beading. Up to 1, even 2 mm.
I'm using natural polished hemp that I purchased from Walmart in the jewelry supplies section. It's working perfectly and looks like wicker.
روعه 💝
