Miniature dishes with imitation wood. Polymer clay. Tutorial. DIY. Миниатюрная посуда с имитацией дерева.
To make the miniature, I use polymer clay Fimo and Cernit, which is baked in the oven.
As a basis for baking dishes, I use wooden blanks.
I use sandpaper to grind.
At the end I coat the dishes with varnish.
Для изготовления миниатюры я использую полимерную глину Fimo и Cernit, которая запекается в духовке.
В качестве основы для запекания посуды, я использую деревянные заготовки.
Для шлифовки использую наждачную бумагу.
В конце покрываю посуду лаком.

Thank you for actually marbling the clay to look like wood. Lots of other polymer clay sculptors use pastels, and, call me a purist, I feel like that's cheating. The most I do, is dull coat when something should be dull, and gloss when something should be shiny or wet.

Sometimes baby powder or cornstarch can keep things from sticking to work surfaces, and/or your fingers. But, don't overdo baby powder, it can dull the finish of your project, if you'd prefer it a little glossy.
