  • Short and sweet, but good to see what you are getting into with a branch box system as far as the amount of mechanical. Also, seeing what the floor mount heads look and sound like!

    How do you supply bathrooms with showers. No air movement or air change seems to lead to mold ?

      Going on my second year with mini splits. Master bath doesn't have anything buy we are careful to leave the door open to the bedroom to allow am air exchange. Leave the fan run for 15 minutes after showers (on a timer) and it's been fine.

    Does the inside unit rest on the floor? I see a lot mounted to the wall at 6 inch above the floor or so. What’s best?

    I've a question, I was told that I couldn't install a 6 head 3.5 ton ductless and not install all 6 heads! Where does the extra refrigerant go if I only install half of the heads? Thanks

    • @TheDiskinsDoEverything
      @TheDiskinsDoEverything  5 лет назад +1

      That is incorrect. You have to install 50% of the system capacity so on a 3.5 ton, a minimum of 21,000 btus.

    What do you use for fresh air exchange on ductless systems up in the Pacific NW? Are you using something like a Lunos?

      Mostly hrv and erv, like a fan tech, venmar or panasonic

      Barron Green Team Do you cover how HRV or ERV systems work in any of your videos? Considering a mini split system to replace baseboard heat.

    Hi, I'm wondering if you can give an update on this system. Any issues since the install?

    Wow.. what is the heat loss of that a- frame? What geo zone it is in? Those are some huge heads for what appears to be fairy small spaces…

    First of all keep up the great work!
    Question:
    The Fujitsu AOU48RLXFZ1 8 zone system requires a minimum of 39K BTU for operation that I could see on their website. How does zone control work in this case? Does the system not need a minimum load to work? For example what if only a single 12K head was running? Would it force all the zones to run to meet minimum load of 39K?

    • @TheDiskinsDoEverything
      @TheDiskinsDoEverything  6 лет назад

      janerikborge system bleeds excess load to other heads, however, I question the 39k. Turn down is typically 50%

      Hi Wes, just to clarify that the Fujitsu minimum for install is 39K, which is quite high. They claim 80%-130% on their website with a table of valid combinations of heads. Unlike Daiken or Mitsubishi they are vague on how they deal with the excess load, and zone control. Misibishi claim 12K minimum operation. I live in a townhouse, and can only use a branch box system. I will have to consult with somebody on this, but you have put me in a good position to ask the right questions.. Anyways thank for educating us all on this.
