I witnessed this once in a lifetime opportunity thanks to my late father. He was a Physics teacher who told us about it. As soon as he came back from his school, he got all the kids out to watch the transit before it was too late. I love you my father.😢💙💪

It was only AFTER the transit that I saw none of my pictures came through! But the sunny hillside I chose locally was an absolutely class A spot to watch it for its' entire length of six and a half hours. I still remember yelling with glee when it began at about 6am UK time and offering the view to passersby, who were all glad to see it. The 2012 transit I didn't see; the UK was less favoured and the weather was bad, but the 2004 one was sunny, warm, and what clouds there were actually ADDED to the effect. It looks very much like somebody has used a hole punch on the sun! Next month (May 9th 2016) I get a shot to see Mercury do much the same. Here's hoping for clear skies

i did see it right now though its hard to find venus in front of the sun. it takes me 4 sunglasses to make sure my eyes wont hurt. thats a shame. here in Guam we can see it clearly.

I came here from the same source, but I heard it from astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, (in the joe rogan experience its episode 1159 timestamp 2:06:00)would love to see that documentary and its a bummer im never going to get the opportunity to see it, definitely gonna pass this on to my children😂 cheers mate
