      They were in The Broadcaster Pub in Television Centre from the start of the show (ruclips.net/video/ri678PtA-as/видео.html) I suspect they aren't using the normal studio because they're preparing for Christmas, but we don't really know the reason why sadly.

      It’s a legal requirement in the Uk that all building fire alarm systems are tested every week at the same time no matter what. Failure to do these tests could lab a business or owner a fine of up to £3,000
      So they need to test at least 2 devices each on the system each week no matter if filming is happening or not as it’s stated by law.

    • @tomthornton6259
      @tomthornton6259 Год назад +1

      @@ryanhelton1865 true, but they could probably arrange it so that they test in parts of the building in which they are NOT filming (or at the very least, during an advert break or a show reel). Television centre is still pretty new(ly refurbished), maybe dust set it off or something?

    • @gmcdon
      @gmcdon Год назад +1

      @@ryanhelton1865 not true. See BS5839-1 44.2. It is recommended that it is “approximately” the same time each week. It is also recommended that a single MCP is tested. If it was a test, it shouldn’t be longer than 60 seconds. Again, if it was a test you would imagine that it would be at a time to cause minimal disruption to services.
      What it seems like to me is that there’s an S-Quad device that is potentially stuck in fire (i.e. lingering smoke), or the device is faulty.
      Though for a site like this, you would expect a double knock or an investigation delay before full evacuation alarms.

    This really pisses me off the way they do not take the fire alarm seriously at the end of the day. The fire alarm should be taken seriously even if it is a malfunction or false alarm for fire alarm should be taken. Seriously this is another Lorraine Kelly moment all over again, carrying on like there’s nothing it could’ve been a terrorist attack. It could’ve been a gas leak. It could’ve been a bomb alert. It could’ve been a number of things. The reason why the alarm was set off as a manually via call point or automatic it doesn’t matter the reason why the alarms gone off face should automatically say unfortunately we have a fire alarm we have to go to a break and then they evacuate the studio. I’m sure the lives are more important than showing people fucking fashion/Mel B‘s new book I take health and safety very seriously as it’s there for a reason to protect us

    • @ryanhelton1865
      @ryanhelton1865 Год назад +4

      It was just a test which they knew about. They need to do the test the same time each week and test 2 devices in the system as stated by law. They knew it was happening and knew the same time and the days it happens therefore don’t need to take it serious.

      @@Matthew-bu7fg I don’t think you understand. This wasn’t a fire drill it’s weekly test. Which is regulation in the Uk.
      If the alarm sounds more than 60 seconds then you evacuate. You on discard the alarm at the set time and day which should be the same weekly and only if the alarm is for less that 60 seconds.
      ITV literally confirmed and said in a statement. That notices are posted around the building alerting people a test of our fire alarm will be conducted at this time on this day every week. This is not their usually studio and presenters didn’t take notice of the signs. But was told master in the show they was testing it and would be testing it again which is why on the second time it went off they knew it was test.
      I’m a fire alarm engineer in the Uk I install these systems so I know quite a lot about the regulations of them and testing and what the law says.

    • @ryanhelton1865
      @ryanhelton1865 Год назад +1

      @Marc Leslie yes they do. New standards recommend for a system with over 3 loops at least 2 devices are tested each week. Not something what’s required but something recommended with systems over 3 loop.
      I’m a fire alarm engineer so I do know what I’m talking about. Many systems what are over 3 loops are recommended to test 2 devices and a system over 5 loops are recommended to test at least 4 devices a week. Now you can just test one devices as that’s the bare minimum but standards do recommend you test more devices depending on you system type.
