It is because they had more shows coming and needed more space in the studios. They moved to the Television Centre in North London, near shepards park, on 16th April 2018. It was home to the BBC for quite a long time and then got closed for refurbishment and reopened as itv studios but they just call it Television Centre. FUN FACT On the wall that has the Television Centre name and all of those lights, on the left corner, you can slightly see the BBC Logo squares still there where the rest of the wall has faded colour, and on the other side of that wall is Studio 1 which is Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
Actually the reason is because the building needed to be demolished for refurbishments, so they are using TVC as a temporary home i guess. Hope that helps :)

The sets built at the old BBC Television Centre were initially temporary. but ITV decided to give up th lease on the building and sold it to a development company. TVC is now the official home for most of ITV's daytime tv programmes. The BBC still broadcast thier own programmes from TVC
