I literally felt so emotional because the South Bank was home to Richard and Judy, Phillip, Fern and Holly and Eamonn and Ruth and if only those walls could talk then they would give good memories. Just want to remind everyone that all ITV Daytime programmes from the South Bank will be moving so GMB, Lorraine and Loose Women will also be moving with This Morning.
Yes, all ITV live daytime shows will be moving. In fact all shows have now settled into Television Centre with their new sets. There won't be much change on screen in terms of style and look, as ITV want to keep the current look, but for This Morning it will be a huge change for them, with no river Thames, just a recorded view instead. BBC Studioworks will look after them well.
Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will all be housed in Studios TC2 and TC3 at Television Centre in West London from Monday 16th April 2018 for at least the next four years. BBC Studioworks, the commercial arm of the BBC have done a deal with ITV do provide the studios and production facilities, plus also office space for ITV Daytime at the Television Centre complex, along with agreements with Stanhope who own the rest of the Television Centre site.
Yeah they are working to the newer version of the itv studios I believe it’s gonna be completed about 2027 and hopefully two years after the completion of the Big Ben clock tower
And now in May 2019, ITV have dropped plans to redevelop the southbank site, and will remain at Television Centre for as long as BBC Studioworks and ITV keep a contract deal. So much for ITV returning to the southbank.
@@benredfearn5328 Hi Ben, that will be impossible, as they are based in Studio TC3 at Television Centre in West London, around 5 miles from the River Thames. As they are in a total brick/concrete television studio, first opened in June 1960, it is impossible to have real windows installed.
Notice how they never mentioned it was the BBC Studios at Television Centre they will be using. They are embarrassed to say that ITV needed the BBC to provide them with studios for the next 4 or 5 years for all of their main daytime shows. ITV could not find and independent television facility to use, they had to use the BBC, and that must stick in their throat. So Philip is going back to where he started his career, at Television Centre.
BBC don't own the Television Center and they haven't done so since 2018. They decided to stop broadcasting in 2013 and sold the property to Stanhope & AIMCo, who then repurposed it as a general studio for television production and renamed it "TVC" (TeleVision Center). After they refurbished it, BBC decided they would like to continue using some of the studio's, so Aimco leases the studio to ITV Studios, BBC Studios & BBC Studioworks. BBC don't own the building.. they didnt provide ITV with anything. So why would ITV feel any need to say they're moving to the BBC Studios, when they weren't.. They were just moving to their own studio at the property.
@@shona5512 BBC Studioworks run the three television studios at Television Centre. A 15 year lease was purchased by BBC Studioworks to continue to operate studios TC1, TC2 and TC3 under the agreement of sale to Stanhope developerss. BBC Studioworks also provide post production, dressing rooms, green rooms, edit suites, hospitality, make up, wardrobe services, and of course provide the communication links to the ITV network for live airing of Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, Loose Women and This Morning. The studios are BBC Studios, no ifs or buts. BBC own and operate them for as long as they have the lease. In the same way the old ITV London Studios were owned and operated by ITV even when the site of the studios was owned by a different company.
This was money for old ropes Television. They are going to rent studios2 and 3 at the old BBC TV Centre, while the bbc rent studio 1, the demolition at The for London Weekend Television will take five years with the rebuilding, and what a greedy itv for doing this at a time studio shortages.

Apparently they said on This Morning in 2018 that they Allegedly were coming back in 2023, but I think ITV might be staying there now, but it could happen!

+John King the major change to this morning will be that the real view will be replaced by an artifical one and the studio will be much smaller. sad.

It was so sad to hear that the itv studios in the south bank of the Thames
the london itv affiliate (thames) aired jeopardy in 1993 according to my calcuations

Looks like Philip schofield has done the Michael Caine s famous line by saying you only supposed to blow the bloody doors off

Well BBC Studioworks now run the studios at TVC which allows any company like ITV to use their studios but I get your point.
