Thanks for the beautiful shot and review. Looks absolutely amazing but the sound profile is curious... despite being leaf and with pe foam, still has a lot of resonance and openness (kinda like a top mount). Its thocky and poppy/clacky (sounds likes a QK75), but IMO doesn't really do any one of those profiles exceptionally well.
I’d buy this just for the looks (and the screw-less and sticker-less design) and care a little less about how it sounds. Would be great with a non-flex cut PCB. I’d get extra PCBs and gaskets with this and have multiple switch/keycap combos to swap out easily when I want.
for whatever it’s worth, NearLucid’s video indicted there are non-flex cut 1.6mm PCBs available, I assume that’ll help with the foamless sound considerably (though disappointedly he didn’t test with that)
because all keyboard nowadays tryna replicate this board sound (using pe foam). Jelly epoch, it successor were the one that create the marbly sound signature. Well, since all keyboard are using this sound signature, it just make the sound not unique anymore. But for me I love the design
Design is dope for sure but I already have enough boards that have the same sound, now I'm just aiming for higher end boards, gotta be selective lol I don't have anymore space
@@springpocket6941 I have tons of clacky and super clacky boards that I specifically targeted to owned since last 1 or 2 years...and believe me it's so refreshing to hear that thocc and marbly sounds again, maybe once in a while. Even the days the I had kbd67 lite 3 years ago, even if I stuffed lots of foam there, I kinda still think jelly epoch (not this one, I owned the first gen) is still sounds more pleasing to me, yes it's fvckin thocc, but idk sounds cleaner maybe than those cheap foam boards, idk...but the premium feel of these boards actually can be a single reason to own, I mean...my recent years are full of journey trying to build a perfect sound, when actually I valued more on the design and personalization too, most of us would never stop adding more collection so it's fine if someone buying this just for the looks in my opinion...days of trying cheap entry boards is long gone anyway
