it's hard to believe that Z48 was really 50years ago! This is one of the best recreations of a tour I've seen and the mk1s and the locos looked superb, when you think about how far preservation has come and the fact that both 5029 and 5043 were formerly at Barry scrap,it really make one proud of what we have achieved.superb coverage and great locations, regards.
Dave, my dad is steam mad , and I've found them know but ive been watching and they've been bringing back loads of great memories of helping him set up his model steam railway thanks all
Amazing video! Beautiful images with Steam Loco and great sounds! Also lovely places and spring landscapes! Good work! I like very much this video! Thank you for share! :-) Thumbs Up Best Regards from Romania - Andrew
Now i know who was in the field at shrivenham :P, i was at the bottom of the bridge. Lovely shots of the castles and D1015. Nice video as always, keep up the good work!
Absolutely wonderful video! A fantastic shot of 5029 storming her way up Rattery Bank. The location you used is called 'Dangerous Bridge'! I Kid you not, that is its name! We can walk to it in five minutes from our house. Enjoyed every minute! Cheers. :)
Its a suicidal place to film trains! I was going to try it for the Western on Saturday but one of Mr Morrison's artic's nearly killed me so I have up! haha. Your welcome. :)
Great filming work, despite the wind. Your choice of locations and shots really capture the essence of England in springtime. Even allowing your comments about fire prep time, that was still a very poor performance from Nunney Castle on a relatively light train. I am sure a BR Standard class would have coped better! (Just putting tin hat on)
I’m on that charter this Friday and Saturday!

Wonderful stuff! A superb record of the two brilliant runs with the two Castles and their crews on top form. Very enjoyable.
Thanks very much Christopher :) Was a very enjoyable two days filming, even with the wind!

Awesome throughout. Don't know how you get so many shots of the same train.
