Society in the modern world is well past NEEDING to live like this. You can, if you choose to, but it is no longer required. I get that we here enjoy this more, and some of us live this life, at least partially, but to not understand why others don't, and don't need to, is more of a failing than anything you're talking about.
I heard word 'enough' a lot in this video, and it is really the key solution to nowadays sick society where the capitalism and consumerism feed us with ads that make us not feeling satisfied with thing that supposed to be 'enough' for us to have and consume.
Your absolutely right...you know who need to hear this world. People who think that there are too much people in the world snd the population have to be reduced by killing innocent people or sterilize them without their permission.
This video could change the world. Jon is so humble and modest that even he likely doesn’t realize, just how TRULY INCREDIBLE and how POWERFUL the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding which he so generously and beautifully shares in these videos, truly is and just how powerful it could be!
"This video could change the world." Indeed if we were living thousands of years ago. Now Government will make your life hell by imposing tax is every sh*t. In my view any government take tax in everything is like robber or mafia back like back in days.
I'm from Nepal in the hilly region. I 'm longing for small self sustainable farming as you have described. Thank you for sharing multi-purpose vegetable farming method with local market options! It seems wonderful idea to utilize my land!.
You are right when you said we can grow just enough to consume and some to share. In America and other first world, they farm thousands of hectares of the same plant. The biggest motivation is money. The farmers use chemicals to maximize the production. Any surplus will be thrown away. That is the corporate world of production and yet people are hungry. My liitle garden i have in my backyard, i have 5 for each kind of vegetable. I have more than enough to consume. Nobody should be hungry in this world if only we know how to be self reliant and are not afraid to work and not afraid to experience something little. People are greedy and very materialistic, therefore we who follow the corporate materialistic world are restless ànd unhappy. Good luck yo you Sir.......FILIOINO NURSE RETIRES HOME
Such a good video. Our goverment does not care about whats in our food. Other countries ban things like high fructose corn syrup in food. It affects the liver. Its best to grow and put away your own food because you know whats in it. Its also good for health to be in the sunshine and you get exercise. Its really rewarding. Thanks for video.
Beautiful video full of so much information! Going to implement this in my 5 acre piece of land. 1 acre for this set up, half acre for house with lawn, half acre for free range chickens for eggs/meat and some goats for milk/meat and 3 acres forest full of tens of varieties of trees! Cannot wait. So inspired, thank you
Just do ducks in the pond instead of laying hens, unless you want both types of eggs. They help the pond life. You can usually sell duck eggs for more too.
Watching from USA. I bought a peace of land in the rural area. I am going to grow vegetables and fruit trees and grape Vines. I have also dig 2 fish ponds. You inspire me to be self sufficient.
Thankyou Sir, for your generous heart sharing these valuable life lessons. I am a hotelier but due to this pandemic I've been thinking of other ways to sustain. In fact just this morning I left from the city towards the villages in search of a land. Wish me luck. And thankyou again. Much respect. From Darjeeling, India.
Had an opportunity to buy many acres of rural land cheap, but counted the cost of taxes, maintenance, septic, well... and chose 1 acre instead without the hassle. I have a creek, fruit trees, forest, deer... Considering a fish pond. I love your concept because I don't want to work hard ANYMORE. Xoxo
Wow, I am so impressed by Jon. This is a peaceful life. Even if you can be rich you can still apply this maybe on a bigger scale. Land is definitely a must have.
Great video. I am a small time organic farmer who grows just corn and beans. I do not do very well for myself. I am going to see if I can figure out how to use my land in a more useful way. The ideas presented in the video looked smarter, easier than what I am doing, and much more productive. Thank you for sharing.
