Freakin awesome video! Gorgeous desert views 🌵The look of grit and determination the whole way through and the smiles at the end…made your mama tear up 😢So very proud of you son 💯🔥💪🏻❤️
Those look interesting. I love my Altra Lone Peaks, but you were spot on when you said they lack "umph" - especially when you get on to road sections during an ultra.
I love watching your videos. I have a few questions. 1. What gel do you like best out of all the ones you have tried? 2. Any advice for someone starting out as a running RUclipsr? I have wanted to for a while and your videos helped to inspire me to go for it 😀👍
I got lucky enough to be able to score the last drop on President's Day the green ones. A beginner runner but it's awesome to wear them in the local trail which is only about 1 mile long. Can't wait to really break them in!
Great video, thank you for review on the shoe. You really made that race look easy, I just completed my first 50 mile race yesterday and it was not pretty. I’m definitely going to try and find a better shoe
@@jeremy.miller thought so. Great image, and nice separation from background - definitely makes the action shots just a little smoother and dare I say more “cinematic”! Nice
Test them in the mud and Muck! Big Horn 100 is always sloppy and muddy and you get every season and weather thrown at ya in one race! Great Video and excited for your Big Horn 100 experience!
Yes!!! I’ve done the 52 mile version the last two years & the mud is relentless😆 biggest challenge for me is living in Texas with no mountain training. Lots of incline treadmill miles!
Loved the Speedlands as well, but now matter what I do, I cant keep my pinky toe from blistering up pretty bad. I gotta keep the distance shorter when I wear them. If youre still looking around give the Topo Ultraventure 3's a go. Same fit at Altra's but with a little bit of drop..
Great film and well done completion. How many miles have you clocked in them now? I am really interested in how the outsole wears. I love Speedgoats but really dislike how they wear down so quickly. After 200 miles, the heal is almost bald. This has happened on every pair I have had, and I have had a LOT! I tried other makes and models but always go back to SGs because of the comfort on long Ultras. If the Dpeedlands outsole is better for wear and tear, I could be tempted to pay out the huge difference in price. Thanks again for the review. Happy trails 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I’ve go about 100 miles in them and they honestly don’t look like they’ve worn down much. I think the Michelin rubber outsole definitely helps and holds up well
Coming from the snowboard world I am not a fan of boas. If they break in the middle of no where you are SOL. At least with traditional laces you can knot them back together and keep going.
Unbelievable experience!!! Thank you for the invite brother!
The Coros GPS tracker was a nice touch in the bottom right corner of the video during the 50 miler!😎👍
noted!!! gonna continue to add cool data elements like this to future videos
@@jeremy.milleragree man, I been liking this addition to your vids as well. Nice race btw bro.
@@jeremy.miller How did you animated the tracker like this ??
My wife and I and a few of our friends are doing Bighorn 100 this year as well! See you out there!
I love it!!! see you out there. good luck with training

Congrats man. You did a great job in finishing the race
Ive been loving speedlands for running the trails. Great vid!
Nice job on the 50 miler! I appreciate the review, been looking for my next pair of trail shoes and I've had my eye on those!
Your content always amazes me!!!
Great race and video! Footage from the Osmo looks incredible. Shoutout to Mannie as well!
Thanks man!

Amazing grind, u r my motivation to get out there
Make more videos like this one!
Everything was perfect⭐️
Loved to see the coros data on the screen! Keep it up like this👍!!!

Those Speedlands look pretty sick. I'd love to snag a pair at some point.

I’d be wheezing 5 minutes in
That’s a great time. Great video
Which equipment do you use to record your runs?
First time using those gels on my long run this weekend. Performance wise they are great. Texture and flavor, not so much.
The filming/editing in this video is dope!
Thank you 🙌🙌
Agree… what camera did you use ? DJI ? .. nice
@@movemorenowjames yes DJI Osmo Pocket 3

Their size 12 has been sold out for weeks. If you see any lying around in the stock room could you please send 'em over? thx lol

That’s exactly where I got my blister! Outside of pinky toe
What’s your gear setup in this video? Apparel and bag
Great video... and thanks for sharing it... one question about the Speedland shoes.. what is the sizing like? Do they run true to size?
I find they’re a bit smaller for my feet. I normally wear size 10, but I prefer size 10.5 in these
Sizing vs a pair of altras?
See you at the start line of the bighorn 🤙🏼
See you there!
Great video, did you use the carbon plate or go without it for the race?
I did not use it for this race
@@jeremy.miller Appreciate the reply!

Rastaaaaaa! 🤍
How much do they weigh?
How do you feel about GU energy gels? The brownie batter one is delicious
I’m personally not a fan as they taste super artificial to me. But if they work for you, use em!!!
Just found this channel do you have a video of your running set up like what best you are hearing ?and water bottles ?
Why must you continue caffeine intake once started? Around mile 23 in your video
What do you do differently (if at all) in your pre-run supplements when running a 50 miler versus a marathon?
A lot less carbs! Hydration is pretty much the same
@@jeremy.miller Good to know! Thanks Jeremy

glad you said something about wearing black Bro 😂 was like wtf is he doing.. That’s a no no. Bandana-neck rags light colors anything to keep ya cool
Whats the name of the shoes
What hydration vest is that?
Salomon Sense Pro 10
think it would be even better with laces instead of the boa for trail running
Laces get caught though.
❤❤
Just an FYI Speedland started in 2020, not 2023.
You’re right! Thanks for the correction. I had read something about 2023, I think that’s when they started getting popular
Too bad the smallest they have is 6.5 in women’s… I’m a 6 😢
