      Toyotajeff in Raleigh The xle trim level is no doubt the way to go you have everything the upper levels have just a very few minor options. We got an extremely good deal ours has only 12k miles, I can’t believe how well they hold there resale value.

    • @Toyotajeff
      @Toyotajeff  6 лет назад +7

      They really do. I had a customer last month at the end of their Highlander lease. As opposed to them just giving the Highlander back, it worked out better for them to trade it in for another one......they had $500 positive equity in their car! Jeff

    I live near Cleveland County, not to far from you;however, I really would want the Limited Platinum or the SE. I love Toyota, I had a 1.8 '94 Corolla and it died at 500 hundred thousand miles, and it never broke down. And, i actually met a guy that had an 800 hundred thousand miles Camry, but I'm obsessed with changing my oil and I never let it get dirty,hell, my old oil looks new. You're quite entertaining, keep up the good work, peace!

    Great comparison. One thing overlooked regarding front differences - the SE headlight housing is also painted black inside.

    I'm late to this thread, but I never buy "new". I just sold my 2004 Limited with every possible after-market upgrade, tailor hitch, Bluetooth, remote start, running boards, roof rack and hookers (love that feature when I'm pimp'n at the club). Jumped into a 2018 XLE. Installed my own after-market remote start (45 minutes of my life I will never get back). The 2004 had 158K miles and was still rolling strong.
    The technology in the 2018 XLE is mind-blowing. All I need is the tow hitch. This video taught me about a few things I never knew about. I think it will be 3-6 months before I discover all the toys it has. The fact that this is my second Highlander speaks volumes about these beasts. They earn my highest recommendation

  • @ca9495

    XLE is the best bang for your buck. Not to say the other models aren't good, because they are, but the XLE seems to be the sweet spot for the most affordable and having the "just right" amount of bells and whistles. Highlanders ROCK, regardless!!! Great vehicle.

      You don't need any weight, but as my wife works at a place that is up a large steep hill and has to be there early in the morning and sometimes roads are not plowed we put full blown snow tires on it and turns into a tank and have never been stuck. At the present I own a 2017 Highlander LE Plus after seeing this information I will wait to purchase a new XLE, don't see the need for all the extras of the higher level trims

      Benjamin Lee looking into the xle trim but thinking the LE plus might be the right one. It’s cheaper and comes with features that are helpful.

    Probably the best comparison I've seen! I would like the LE plus, only wish it had a sunroof option😏...I'm pretty sure the "limited platinum" is a 7 seater only...

    I wish they had a combination of the SE and limited platinum. Basically, incorporate the aesthetics of the SE (black grill, wheels, etc) with the features of the limited platinum (360 cam, etc). Guess I’ll have to wait another year...

    Hi Jeff, great video. Thank you for doing it!
    I am shopping for a new Highlander and considering SE or XLE. I like that wide screen, apps and voice over system.
    That’s a shame you are not in NJ, otherwise definitely would stop by and buy it from you

    • @Toyotajeff
      @Toyotajeff  6 лет назад

      Siding & Windows Wizards LLC Thanks for the compliment Siding! That would be tough deciding between those 2 trims. My taste of the XLE but SE is really popular too. Wish you lived here as well haha...guess you could just take a road trip down here to Raleigh and then drive your new Highlander back up the coast!
